I keep the "Fine" jewelry in a jewelry box that MIL gave me. It's tall so it works really well.
My "Fashion" jewelry I keep in a tupperware container and everything gets tangled :(

I'm forever on the lookout on a functional, but reasonably pretty, way to store jewelry. I have a pretty jewelry box from anthropology, but things are always getting tangled, it's hard to find the earrings that I want, and I end up wearing the same few pieces that I keep in my ring holder on the side of the bed.

I'm leaning towards one of those frames with the mesh backing to put earrings in and hooks for long necklaces, like this one: http://www.etsy.com/listing/93223646/walnut-stained-pine-10x16-framed-jewelry?ref=sr_gallery_34&ga_includes%5B%5D=tags&ga_search_query=jewelry+organizer&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery
Fine jewelry, I'd probably keep in little bags or whatever container they came in, but I just need something for the random things I have (believe me, most of it isn't considered "fine"!). I'm happy to DIY, as long as the supplies are easy to get or order online.
