The CD store HIGHLY recommended sustainablebabyish diapers for overnight! They're $30, though, so I won't be using them until LO is 15 lb

We used whatever we had on hand (we've used target's up and up, Huggies, nature babycare, rite aid generics). While DD wasn't a very heavy nighttime wetter, we usually went up one size at night just in case, on advice of some local moms boards, and we never had a leak.

Hi all!

Do you have any overnight diaper recommendations? We took a break from CD'ing, and after the Honest diapers didn't work for us we got some diapers from diaper.com. They work great during the day and fit her really well (she's five months old in size 2's) but some mornings she wakes up pretty damp.

Thanks for any suggestions you might have, hope you all are having a great weekend! :)

I've been looking all day, and I think I've decided to go with the Babykicks Premium Joey Bunz :

An Amazon review said you could separate the two layers if you wanted to, and they get great reviews.

@runsyellowlites: no cloth solution. my 22lb/29" long LO is in a size 5 disposable overnight and at least once a week pees through it :/ which as you know means a wet bed for mom and dad too. I'm thinking that if a disposable can't contain him no cloth solution will ??

@littlebittyhouse: we use bg4.0s stuffed with both microfiber onserts, and a knickernappies just hemp insert sandwiched between. For ds, i fold the newborn insert overtop for more front coverage, for dd, i just layer all three flat. It works SO well! We were changing ds diapers and clothes a ton overnight before we figured this out.

Have you tried Flip organic inserts? I hate the 4.0 micro fleece inserts, so when I use 4.0s (just for naps), I stuff with the Flips. They're super absorbent, and I bet you could use one and a hemp doubler for nighttime.

I picked up an Itti Bitti Boo fitted today and a Swaddlebees Capri cover. I'm prepping it now (might not be done until tomorrow) and will report back about how it works. I have some fleece I can put over it, but I'm going to try it on its own first.

@littlebittyhouse: Regular polar fleece should work but I personally haven't tried it so I can't vouch for certain. Good luck! My son was never leak free with a pocket diaper no matter what we did but fitteds work wonders so if the hemp insert doesn't fix it, I'd definitely consider trying a fitted.

@Orvis18: My favorites are Thirsties Fab Fitted (with or with out a hemp booster) and Tots Bots Bamboozle with Blueberry covers. If you are worried about wicking moisture away from skin, pick up a package of fleece liners like the kind Bummis or Swaddlebees makes. Just lay one in the diaper and you are good to go.
