Thanks y'all. I finally got a positive opk this morning, so will probably O on CD 19. A little later than I was hoping, but hopefully it will be a a strong O.

@LAZB: I took femara for 2 cycles & both were anovulatory for me (no O). However, I am aware of some of the ladies on the IF boards who have taken femara before & they ovulated on that. Perhaps you might post this question over there? I have been taking clomid & I've been ovulating on cd14 (with trigger) and that's with cd13 u/s monitoring to see how many follicles are growing. Good luck! :goodluck:

I'm not sure about femera yet, i'm only on day 2 of it starting on cd5. But on clomid, I o'd around day 18 vs 25 to 28 on my own. One of my clomid cycles didn't work either and the dosage had to be upped. If you're not really responding to it, they may need to increase it, but your blood tests and u/s should be able to tell you if you're are. Maybe it's possible to still o around the same time, but hormone levels are better?

I took Femara CD 4-8 this cycle. I usually ovulate on my own, but around CD 20, so the Femara is for stronger ovulation and to lengthen my luteal phase. I'm currently on CD 16 and still getting negative opks. I usually O 2 days after a positive opk, so at this rate my earliest O is CD19. I thought that the Femara would help me O earlier, is that not usually the case? Also, the one cycle I took Clomid I Oed on CD 18 (and I took it CD
5-9). Thoughts? Experiences?

@arielle9510: Oh yikes! Yeah, you could be in for another long cycle. That totally sucks. It's possible your temps are just fluctuating before you O, but it's hard to tell. Sorry you have to deal with this! I hope you either get AF soon or O and a very OBVIOUS temp spike that stays elevated so it's CLEAR what's going on!

@ADIRA- Yes I temp at the same time every morning and pretty much go to bed around the same time every night. The past couple of days I've been having a little bit of creamy CM so not quite sure what that means.

I'm just so disappointed, because I was so excited when FF told me I had ovulated. I guess I'm in for a long cycle and my body is still adjusting to being off BC :(

I don't think you did, sorry. : ( The post O temps need to stay above the cover line and instead they are right around or below it, but similar to the temps before the spike. The spike could be your body trying to O and/or it could be a high temp because of a disturbance.

I personally did not have much success charting CM. I think temps are more accurate.

It still might happen though! Good luck.

Yikes! Your chart is confusing! Have you been consistent about taking your temp at the same time every day? Have you been roughly the same amount of sleep each night? Both those things being inconsistent could be causing your temps to fluxuate like that. Are you using a basal thermometer? I wasn't at first and my temps were totally messed up.

I definitely think CM is one of your best methods to be able to tell if you're still fertile or not, especially since your temps aren't being very useful. Based on how many days you saw watery CM after your temp spike, it seems like you probably didn't ovulate then. It seems like you ought to have ovulated by now, but it's kind of looking like you haven't... Sorry you're having trouble. :(

Hi everyone!

This is my first cycle charting and also my first cycle with AF (after going off BC in October). FF originally confirmed that I ovulated on CD21. Although my temps stayed above the coverline, which was 97.48, I never really got a temp spike. Yesterday, FF took away my crosshairs and said it could no longer detect ovulation.

Here is my chart
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/39e549

Do you think I ovulated or am I in for another long cycle? I wasn't following CM too closely, but I did have cramping for a few days. After FF detected O, I noticed watery CM for a few days as well.

I'm just so frustrated! I know all I can do is keep temping and BD'ing and see when AF arrives. My temp dipped a bit again today so I think it is coming soon, but it's so frustrating not knowing where I am in my cycle!!

Sorry for the vent...thanks for listening!

I think you need to BD pretty close to ovulation because when you ovulate, the egg usually only hangs around for about 12 hours and it takes a few hours for the little swimmers to get up there. Good luck!

Glad your temp spiked! Remember that the temp rise is actually caused by the rise in progesterone following ovulation, not by the precise event of ovulation itself. So you may have actually ovulated around the cramping, but it can take a day for your prog levels to rise enough to raise your BBT.
