@mrsjyw: That's what we're doing now, but the manual says to stop using it at 15lbs, and he's about 14lbs now. It just seems so young for him to outgrow it, but I guess I have a chunky little guy.

2 years? Wow! I guess it can work out. I wonder if I should look into a better mattress.

LO slept it it for 4.5 months before we switched to a crib. My coworker moved the PNP mattress to the bottom and his daughter slept in it for 2 years before moving to a twin bed!

To those who used a pack n play with your LO but didn't have a crib, what did you do once they outgrew the bassinet? LO will be 3 months soon and he is almost too big for the weight limit on the bassinet. I love having him in there because I put it right next to my bed and I can easily grab him when he needs to eat. We have a small apartment and no crib, but I'm nervous about leaving him overnight in the bottom pnp level. It's so far down I think I will have difficulty reaching, especially during those groggy late night feeds. Did anyone leave their LO in the pnp long term? How did you like it? Would you have/did you prefer getting a crib? I'm trying to decide if it will work just using the pnp.
