Whatever it takes! :) A will fall asleep on his own if he's in our bed, but not his crib yet.

@Smurfette: I don't want to jinx myself! It is definitely a night of "firsts!" And R is a little younger than K right? So you might be just around the corner to some progress too! :)

That is awesome!! I am totally jealous, R won't goto sleep without being held still. And still fights that!

K's been pretty good at self-regulating her sleep schedule. We started a routine around 2 weeks. Last night we were out at dinner during her routine time and we THE WORST MELTDOWN to date on the drive home. By the time we got home, she was so tired, but still fighting sleep. I learned a big lesson that our girl likes her routine! :(

Today - we got her new, fluffy organic mattress topper and she seemed to instantly love it! I also noticed she seemed pretty calm, so I was 1) able to swaddle her while she was awake, and 2) put her in the crib while awake! TWO FIRSTS! She seems to love light and be calmed by the Glowing Seahorse music, so I placed it next to her in her cushy crib... she was ENTRANCED! She'd slip into sleep, only to wake and fuss a little when the music stopped and the light went out. I had to re-play it 5 times, but it was worth it! First time she's fallen asleep in her crib! (Usually I have to hold her until she's asleep). Fingers Crossed that this can be part of her routine from now on!

I might be a product-whore and tallied up the expense of all of the parts that make up baby's sleep (Naturepedic mattress and mattress pad, A&A sheets, Holy Lamb Organic mattress topper, Angel Care monitor, Motorola monitor, Miracle Blanket, and gifted glowing seahorse) - it's crazy ridiculous! But LO's sleep? Priceless!!! I feel like THIS should be a MasterCard commercial! lol!
