Oh, and the shower was at my place cause we have a big living room. Everything else was a surprise. BUT, we had our cleaning service come the day before, so I didn't have to worry about making sure the house was in order, plus my mom was in town and she helped out with setup and cleanup a lot. I think I'd have been way less enthusiastic about hosting if it meant extra mopping floors and wiping down bathrooms and such. I also appreciated the fact that none of the decorations were difficult to remove. I recently went to a shower that involved baby-themed confetti, and I'd have been pissed if that ended up all over my house.<br /> It was nice to be able to change clothes if I wanted, and not wear shoes if I didn't want to, and have easy access to unlimited Tums, and have my own bathroom. There were three hostesses for my shower (my sister and two friends), and my house was the most central for the guests, and we had the best space for it.<br /> I helped pick out food since my sister wanted to do stuff that I was excited about (and not grossed out by) (we had a cooked sushi platter and it was awesome), and the girl who did the invitations showed me two designs and had me pick my favorite, and I requested the "decorate-the-onesie" activity.<br /> So yeah. All she had to do was pick a date and give me her guest list. It was really fun for me and I loved surprising her with everything. She was always the one planning stuff for me before, so it was nice to throw an event completely for her! And she loved it all in the end!</p> <p>Well now she is due with a baby this summer and I've already spoken to her about planning a baby shower for late April.
