@MrsMccarthy: I honestly don't know...
I can say this much: my little brother who is now 15, was 5'7" last year and had a growth spurt this year and earned himself 4". He's 5'11" now. It's been going at that rate since he was like 12. He used to be normal height as a toddler and young child but for the last 3 years, its been an insane growth spurt every year and he is the tallest boy in his class.
My dad is 6'4", so I assume my brother will keep growwing at a fast rate until he gets there.
I wouldn't worry-they have insanely fast growth spurts at teenagehood!

My husband claims that a boys height at age two can be doubled to find their height at adult hood.

Well Drake was super tall at birth (22.5 inches) which was surprising to us as neither my DH or I are tall (Im 5 ft2 DH is 5 ft 9) and he has now averaged out to the middle I think for his age which seems more appropriate in my mind.

I am curious if any of you, especially those who have sons who are older now, noticed their length as infants coorelating with their height prediction at 2 or 3 years old. My husband is 6,1 and I am 5,7, For the first 6 months my son was always in the 80th or 90th percentile for length but now his length has slowed down and he is in the 60th for length his past two appointments. I dont think it's a huge deal but my father is only 5'8" and i would feel kind of bad for my son if he turned out so much shorter than his papa when he grows up. He is 10 months old and 28.5 inches now. Is this an indication he might be on the shorter side or could a huge spurt happen at any time? What was your experience?
