I'm sorry I don't have any good advice as we haven't done PGD, but perhaps you could join us over on the IVF thread and see if anyone has any thoughts? http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/ivf-thread-2

@emileee: I don't have experience with PGD (just IVF), but Sweetiepie is due this month with her IVF with PGD baby. Hopefully she sees this, but you can write on her wall if she doesn't. I think the big difference is whether your RE does the PGD in house or freezes the embryos and sends them away to be tested. It sounds like you'd be dealing with the latter, given the long timeframe.

ETA: welcome to Hellobee :)

Hi there - DH and I are possibly looking to conceive via IVF with PGD due to a genetic condition (SCA3) he might be carrying on his side. Since he has not yet been diagnosed, we were considering blind PGD.

Is there anyone else that has had experience with PGD? If so, can you share how long the process took? We've been told that the lab could take 3-6 months just to do the genetic analysis.

Thanks for any insights and advice!
