Prior to that we could distract him and get him to eat different things but once he became more aware and only fed himself it became really really hard.<br /> LO2 will usually at least try anything. He's always been a good eater and I hope it continues! At 2.5, I think she probably still eats well compared to most other kids her age, but it seems like she is always "losing" things that she will eat. Like last night, she wouldn't eat meat sauce with her pasta (previously, she loved it). I mean he would always not finish everything I gave him but I think at 3 (when he started really talking a lot), he finally said he didn't want ANYTHING I gave him and wanted something else. When she was younger she might be particular on a certain day (e.g., maybe she just didn't feel like pasta one day), but generally would eat most things. She is still pretty good for a preschooler, but has gotten more vocal about not liking things that she used to eat just fine. That's so frustrating! We learned that if she sees us sprinkle lemon/lime juice on the veggies, she'll eat them up. And whenever she would only go for fruit, we stopped offering it to her until she got back on track with the veggies. Oh, and those fruit/veggie pouches were a lifesaver(no matter how much I despised them). At least I knew she would get some sort of veggie intake. </p>
