This year we decided to celebrate Easter at a county/regional park. DH and I are wondering what time we should get there to get a picnic table and set up. DH thinks we should get there at 8 or 9. That's seems too early to me. He's afraid the park will get crowded and we won't get a table. For those of you that have done Easter at a park before, what time did you set up? Any tips or suggestions for celebrating Easter at a park would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm always a fan of cheese, baguette and wine! I also really like prosciutto wrapped pears (http://acozykitchen.com/prosciutto-wrapped-pears/) for cocktail parties and they would work for a picnic too.

We did a picnic for our 2 year wedding anniversary last year but went to an oyster farm and grilled oysters -- so good, but probably not an option for most people. We also brought sausages to grill.

Have fun!

tiramisu cupcakes sound delicious! ;)

i would probably do something like chicken salad or fancy cheeses with french bread. (but DH doesn't share my love of cheese!!)

What about grilled fish in foil? Side of cold orzo salad.

Alright hive,
Next week is our second wedding anniversary, and we have decided that we want to do a picnic. DH first has a beach volleyball game in the city, but then we will have our picnic dinner on the beach or in a nearby park.

This is where you come in: what foods should we bring? We have an adorable picnic basket from my mom, and we actually have a mini portable charcoal grill, so we could grill something simple. I'm thinking about making tiramisu cupcakes for him because he loves them, so we might bring two of them with and some fruit on the dessert realm of things.

Ideas?

P.S. I have summer school from 9-2:50, so I don't have all day to be cooking picnic food.
