@shopaholic: I pump both sides but do one at a time and switch to the other. Better suction that way..and def not a weak suction at all! I've had to lower the setting sometimes because it hurts! Freestyle offers the battery mobility and handsfree attachments..

@mrsjyw: What is the difference with the Freestyle? I read that it needs batteries so maybe the suction is just not as strong? I won't be working, SAHM, so I think a plug in is better for me?
So you've just been pumping on one side while you've been home? Sorry I'm so confused about breast pumps.

@banana: That does sound good but wow! $80 difference just so you can take it out of the bag? And I think the same one at Target is much less, so I feel kind of guilty about how pricey it is!

I have the freestyle, and having the motor be mobile is a HUGE plus. As far as pumping... I 99% of the time use it as a single pump. Don't think I'll use it as a double until I'm back at work!

Yup it is the same motor, same parts, etc. You just can take the motor out. Funny how they charge you $80 for that privilege :P

The main diff between the two is that with the metro bag one you can take the pump machine out of the bag whereas the tote one has the machine attached to the bag so you can't take it out. They're both double electric pumps so they work the same way. I have he metro bag one and I love that you can remove the pump machine and use your own bag. Especially for traveling!

Need to post and run today (got another shower!) but our most GENEROUS gift yesterday was the Medela Pump In Style Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump.
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2901995
I put it on my registry never thinking anyone would ever buy it but that I could decide later on and use my registry completion. Well, DH's BFF bought it for us and I was floored!

Now I am doing a little research and wondering WHY is it $80 more than the Medela Pump In Style Advanced Breastpump? Is it because it can pump both sides at once? I know this is going to sound SO dumb, but the pictures both have two pumps and the only difference looks like the bag?
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10812796

If it is because on the 2nd one you can only pump on one side, then for SAHMs who BF and pumped - did you pump on both sides? FTM and super confused on all this breast pump gear!
