But we eat a lot of fish so we do use the fillet knife. And whenever we cook a whole chicken or I need to chop up pork bones for stock or during "sit month" my mom used the cleaver daily.<br /> Def one of those to keep your eyes peeled for a good enough deal kinda thing. I've had good luck with Macys, Overstock. I love them! We will now only buy Cutco. As for cookware, I have a mix of Le Cruset, AllClad, Tramontina (a less expensive but high quality stainless steel), and Calphalon nonstick. A $100 gift card to Macy's. So nice. We wracked our brains for something that we would have loved to register for that we never bought or received as a gift. We came upon a set of Henckles (or Wusthof? I forget) steak knives that have handles exactly like our Crate and Barrel flatware, so we got them! We figured we were dodging the superstition since the gift was the gift card and we did the purchasing of the knives ourselves.
