I need to do this! It has worked well for me in the past was nothing else was helping much. It does take ~3 days for me to see a difference, but if does work.

ETA: When I do it, I usually do 2 x 1 hr power sessions at work.

@littlebittyhouse: I used to do it twice a day when LO was being watched and I had time alone.. So, once in the evening and once late at night. Reading on my iPad made it less sucky.. Lately I haven't been doing it because it makes my nipples hurt. Haha.

@regberadaisy: I found this off a website.

Power pumping involves using regular pumping techniques and setup, but in a unique way. The idea is to mimic a baby who is nursing frequently to increase a mother’s supply, as is common in the nursing relationship during a growth spurt. To power pump, hook-up as you would for a normal pumping session, pump for 10-20 minutes, rest 10 minutes, then pump another 10 minutes, then rest for 10 minutes, then pump again for 10 minutes. The mother does this for about an hour, once per day, to increase supply. At other pumping times during the day, routine pumping is used. It can take about a week to see an increase, so don’t get discouraged.

If you do/have done a power pump, how many times in 24 hours do you do it?

I usually just do it once a day but am thinking of maybe doing it twice.
