I’m proud I found the right schools for both my kids. My older daughter is doing an extra year before starting K and I really stressed finding the right school for this year, because is not an easy kid and had a lot of trouble with school (emotionally, socially) last year. The class she is in now is just what she needs and the teacher is really working with her. I’ve also been proactive with already having a meeting with the teacher so we can work together to help my spirited girl and I feel so good about it. But my younger one is just starting preschool and I wanted her at the preschool my older one went to when she started because I loved the environment for the little ones. So I’m inconveniencing myself with two drop offs in opposite directions but I feel like it is really worth it because I am sure they are each at the right school for them. (And it’s only for one year since the older will take the bus to K next year).

@Mrsbells: me too! It's one of the few things I'm doing right. I've got horrible teeth, and if I can help the kids keep theirs healthy I'll consider that an accomplishment. Of course, I'm their Exhibit A of what can go wrong - if they try to slack off with the brushing, I just open my mouth and let them see all my fillings

I'm proud of keeping DH and the kids fed and sane this summer while MIL was dying. Mostly sane anyway, I think we still haven't really processed all the feelings, because you can't stop and feel stuff with the kids around. But at least we got through this without anyone getting dropped off at the wrong camp, or leaving the house in the morning with no pants, or coming home to no dinner in the fridge.

@MrsSRS: I'm sorry... It will get better. Soon, I hope.

@crazydoglady: Thank you! I started Zoloft when my son was about 4 months old for PPA, weaned off of it for over a year, but then TTC for so long knocked the wind out of my sails. I wish they had a 75 mg (I know they can prescribe a 50 & a 25 together) because I feel like that could be my sweet spot... But I definitely needed 100 right now.

@Sams Mom: That's awesome. I have been on Zoloft for 10+ years and have always tried to the the lowest dose I could but, since becoming a mom, I am on the dosage that is right for me. I still deal with anxiety but it's more manageable. I wish there wasn't a stigma when behavioral meds help so many people.

I've been thinking about an answer for this since it was posted. I am proud of my husband and son obviously, but that was an easy answer. So honestly, I'm proud that I was able to nut up and ask my dr to raise my zoloft dose. I'm high strung, I operate on an insane level of anxiety riddled neurosis when things are going good. But my husband has had some health scares, my work is going through major changes, working towards guardianship/adoption of a family member, we're a year and a half into TTC #2; all things that make me extra neurotic by themselves and they're happening all together. I wrote and rewrote that e-mail at least 10 times to my doctor. Good thing is, I'm already feeling better after just over a week.

I'm proud of how diligent I've been about DS's speech therapy and getting him services. We've had lots of setbacks, getting evaluated and qualified for services that he never received, driving through rush hour to get to his appts at a different agency, and getting him qualified and receiving services through the district the moment he turned 3. I am proud of that especially since I had so many people telling me to just wait and I was pregnant. DS has made HUGE strides so it's all been worth it.

I am proud that I have finally pulled the trigger and stopped nursing my twins. It has been nearly 20 months. So over the last 5.5 years I have nursed one or two children at once for a total of 48 months (aka 4 years) between 4 kids.

Also a no screen time household here although I am not a SAHM so my kids are in daycare. That is something both my DH and I are very proud of though as sometimes plopping them infront of the TV would have been easier.

I prepped my son really well for becoming a big brother. We planned out a few key transitions ahead of time and managed his schedule carefully to keep certain things consistent. He has been a great big brother so far and is very proud of his twin sisters!

Also my babies will be eight weeks old in two days, and I have 450oz of breast milk in my freezer! I was intimidated by tandem nursing, and we did have to supplement with formula for a few days while I established my supply, but overall nursing twins is going pretty well.

I am not proud of a whole lot lately, it seems at times that we are barely hanging on, and SO MUCH could stand to be improved (marriage, parenting, work, house). But, because you prompted me to think about it, I will say that I am proud of how flexible my kid is. I. Am. Not. And I was so hoping that he would naturally be a go with the flow personality. He IS - which is especially something for a toddler I feel! Now I cant really take credit for it but I am proud of him every time I see him adapt to a new situation with a smile!

I'm proud of sitting down and doing weekly homework assignments with my four year old most weeknights, 30 minutes or even longer! This commitment is surprising after working a full day and sitting through a long commute, plus dinner and bath time routine for both LOs. We recently enrolled her into a language school on the weekends so that she can be fully bilingual and speak her grandparents' native language. It's a lot more homework and dedication than I thought, but it's really important to us that I've made it a priority. Not only is she learning but it's uninterrupted 1:1 time which we rarely have most weekdays. Luckily she doesn't have *real* school homework yet!

Things that would have set me off pre kids just dont' anymore. I am very tolerant with my kids and I can count the number of times I've yelled on one hand in the almost 5 years of parenting. I am proud of that.

I’m proud that I have created what is right now a good work-life balance without much input from my husband (who has no work-life balance). I work about 42.5 hours per week, and I’ve come to terms with the fact that my house will never be perfect and that I need to prep super simple dinners during this phase of life and I’m not concerned about it at all.

In terms of parenting, I am proud of how “go with the flow” I have been. Before our son, I was so uptight, had to stick to my schedule and rarely deviated. If things didn’t go as planned it would really bother me. I thought for sure it’d be worse after he was born, but it’s actually been way better. I want him to be flexible and I feel like my parenting attitude has allowed that.

In my personal life, I’m very proud that I’ve lost all of my baby weight (60lbs!). I took a slow and steady approach and just counted calories. It took around 8months. I am so proud of the dedication and how it has allowed me to feel like myself and in control even with a small baby.
