@Shimmer: She seemed to think that I was fighting my hips/pelvis opening up and that's what caused the pain to worsen. That said, I think since your chiropractor knows your body best, it's great that you can get his opinion. Good luck and I hope he has some good advice!

@mediagirl: Aw I'm sorry you're hurting but your last sentence made me laugh out loud! :) Misery loves company!

@Hanasu: I have been seeing a chiropractor regularly, as I have sacroiliac strain that has put me out of work. This is the first time I've really hurt in the front, though. I do wear a back brace to kind of "hold" my hips together, but it can be uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. I see my chiropractor on Wednesday, so I'll see what he has to say!

@meredithNYC: I'm surprised that would be suggested, since that causes more pain for me when my legs are apart... does it hurt initially when you do it and then subside after a little bit and bring relief?

I have the same issue. My friend is a massage therapist who works on a lot of pregnant women and she recommended that when I'm able to, I should sit with my legs open and elevated (so dignified, right?!) and avoid crossing my legs. I still have the pain, but I have to admit it has helped. It really is unpleasant and I know exactly how you feel.

a back brace helped a lot, but the biggest thing was seeing my chiropractor regularly. Also, she taught me how to crack my pubic bone so that it realigned which helped a ton.

I've been dealing with this since 26 weeks on and off. It's back with a vengeance. I find if I walk around for a bit, it subsides a bit but anytime I try to get out of bed, off the couch, out of a chair, etc, it hurts like a mother. I have just been suffering through mine. :( Sorry you're experiencing it and that this post was absolutely NO help to you.

I woke up this morning with discomfort in my pelvis - in the front, near the pubic symphysis. It gets worse if I pull my knees apart or move my hips suddenly.

For a while, lying down with a pillow between my knees helped, but not anymore. I'm just SORE and have a sharp pain if move/walk the wrong way.

In case it matters, I'm 24 weeks with two little men... measuring 28 weeks! Thanks!
