We're at the whole milk stage currently, but for the steamed bottles have you tried rinsing and then shaking the excess out before putting on the drying rack. I use a regular two tier metal drying rack and they aren't wet in the morning. I use Tommie tippie and playtex vent aire.

I never worried about the moisture because the bottles were going to be stored with the ice pack or refrigerated.

I actually always found that my bottles/parts dried better in my regular dish rack that in the grass. I don't know if the grass just doesn't get enough air circulating or what, but I definitely found that to be true.

I always rinse bottles with hot water which helps them dry a lot faster. But in a pinch I just use wet bottles since it's not like dry bottles don't have residue.

I use a steam steriliser, I take the bottles straight out of it, shake the drops out into the sink as best I can, and then assemble/use them. I don't worry about any leftover droplets - especially if they've been sterilised - I figure it's just sterile water. If they were going to be put away for a while I would make sure they were dry - but I am always using them the next day!

I use a sterilizer and before I put the bottles down to dry I shake the excess water out. Actually I kind of fling the water out into the sink.

But to answer your question, I don't have them 100% dry before I put formula in them.

hmmm, so I did an unofficial experiment last night. With regular washing, I could shake out most of the water, and it was mostly dry this morning. The ones that got washed and then put in a steam sterilizer had tons of tiny water droplets that couldn't be shaken out, and were still very wet today. I guess the sterilizer is getting put away for a while!

Hmmm... I don't have the boon grass, but when I was at the store about to pick one up, one mom advised me to get the drying rack by munchkin. I love it. I wonder if the boon grass doesn't have enough circulation to allow for quicker drying?

I have this issue too and find that shaking excess water out before putting it on the drying rack helps. I don't always completely dry all the moisture prior to using the bottle.

Question for anyone who bottle feeds - breastmilk, formula, whatever!

LO is 11 weeks and starts daycare on Monday, so I'm pumping 5 bottles a day now. I wash at night and put them on a Boon Grass to dry. Regardless of whether I steam sterilize or not, they are ALWAYS still wet when I get up in the morning. (Honestly, they are more wet when I use the steam sterilizer.)

Do I need to dry them before I pump into them? I'm not talking about a few drops, but they are VERY wet. I'd rather not have to run the dishwasher every day, if I can avoid it, hence hand washing and air drying.

Any tips/tricks to streamlining this process and getting things dry faster? Thanks!
