I asked at just shy of 9 weeks, and she said left. I found out I am having a girl, so it was true for me! All the reading I did says it's the location of the placenta. No real discernible way to tell if it was to the right or the left. In my transvaginal ultrasound last week, baby was on the right but placenta was forming on the left.
