We use California Baby but if it's really gnarly we switch to disposables and use the industrial grade stuff! But you have to be careful with disposables because they can be so chemically that they start another kind of rash!!

@duckduckkristen: I'm with you! LO is only 8 weeks, so we haven't had much time to get a rash yet, but I put on some coconut oil each time I put a new diaper on. No redness/rashes yet.

Another vote for both EMAB and CJ's BUTTer. We've never had an issue with those. I agree with Mrs. Superhero though on if it is a rash due to yeast, antibiotics, etc, you may need to switch to sposies for a few days. When we have to do that we prefer Dr. Smith's.

Earth momma and Grovia magic stick for the most part. We fought yeast (disposables), allergy rash (earth mama and coconut oil, and he is finally completely rash free. We do do sposies at night and they are a size bigger so they hold all the wetness. His rash was typically in the front.

@Mrs. Superhero: Oh good, I have some of this on order. :) I don't think it's a yeast diaper rash. I didn't realize that my diet could affect his diaper rash too- my little guy has had terrible gas for the last three days and I was thinking about eliminating dairy to try to clear that up... I wonder if that will help the rash too?

@autumnlove: I tried the CJ's butter, it didn't seem to clear up the redness :( I'm saving some of my samples to use as a barrier cream once LO's redness clears up. Until then, it's back to sposies with A&D in hopes that the redness will clear up!

Supposedly you can use coconut oil, but I have no first-hand experience. We use prefolds and then just whatever cream, because even the white stuff comes off easily with cotton.

We haven't had any bad rashes, but for regular redness and minor rashes we use the Grovia magic stick. If they get bad we'll just use disposables.

Earth Mamma Angel Baby's Angel Baby Bottom Cream.

It's a snappy title, eh? It works for me if anything does (with Wonder Baby the only thing that worked was cutting dairy out of my diet).

If it's a yeast rash you'll need to switch to sposies until it clears up, and then disinfect your diapers.

What diaper rash ointment do you use? Or do you just switch back to disposables when your LO has a rash?
