@Mrs. Oatmeal: @kes18: Yup, I know I better do it now while I still have the time (only 21 weeks along). Off to order some elastic!

I am in this position, and I am planning on replacing them all. Just waiting for DD to potty train. Better be in the next month or two lol.

That's kind of amazing though! They look great.
But yep, to avoid having to replace in another 6 months or so, I'd replace them all together. :(
Diaperwreckers.com has an awesome tutorial to make it pretty straightforward (says me, who hasn't used a sewing machine in her life....)

@Pollywog: Thanks! I know, I was kinda leaning that way, but just trying to take the easy way out! :silly:

I found that BG elastic was pretty crappy. I'd replace them. I don't think tightening would last 2 years unless you had already replaced the elastic with something stronger.

So I'm getting ready for DD2 and I have 24 BG4.0s that I used daily for about 2 years with DD1. They are in great condition other than the elastics so I know I need to refresh. I can sew and I know the elastics in the BG4.0s are pretty easy to replace, but I came across this YouTube video about tightening them without sewing and it would be a lot quicker.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tAKMj82Peg

I did this in about 2 minutes on a diaper this morning so you can see the difference. Do you think this is a reasonable approach if I want to get another 2 years out of these diapers or should I bite the bullet and just replace the elastics all together? Thanks!!
