@mamainprogress: Ive heard you can put a light pillow on their back during tummy time so they can't roll over. A Boppy might work well

My little boy has become a pro at rolling back to belly but has only rolled belly to back a few times and at was a few weeks ago. He is 16 weeks. I'm not sure how to help him roll from belly to back either.

@Running Elley: C seems a little imbalanced when on her tummy.....I think the cloth really props up her hips/butt.

I was at doc today and said "my online Mom friends, it seems like C is the only one not rolling over, except by accident a few times" he said not to worry at 4 months, 6 months we'd look at it if she still wasn't, but that her head and neck control was great and it's not like she's not doing well otherwise. The cloth *may* hold her back, but still as of now she really has no desire to roll over.....so I wait, lol.

@FutureMrsMcK: Sometimes I try tummy time, etc with a disposable on or with him naked and he doesn't do anything differently so I'm pretty sure it's not the diaper.

My husband had this concern too. Our solution was just a lot of diaper free time. LO was never behind on milestones. It is important to make sure CDs aren't too tight by checking to see if they leave imprints on your baby's skin.

Not at all. And we had to double up her CD because she is a heavy wetter. Maybe it was harder to sit on her own because she was a little unbalanced but I think it actually made her work on her balance more.

My husband and mom are convinced that the bulkiness of the cloth diaper is the reason that LO hasn't yet rolled over and they think that it's going to be harder for him to sit up/crawl with the cloth diapers as well.

Have you noticed that wearing cloth diapers inhibited your LO when trying to reach certain physical milestones? I don't think it makes a big enough difference!

LO did belly-to-back for three days when she was 3.5 months old and then decided she didn't want to do it anymore and hasn't since (she's 5 months old now). For back-to-belly, she gets well onto her side but her arm gets stuck or she feels it's too much effort so she quits. SIGH. Ah well, she'll figure it out, right?
