This is our pink, we get so many compliments on it, because its subtle and sophisticated - still feminine but not overly girlie at all

@Mrs. Lovejoy: That room is BEAUTIFUL!

@sorrycharlie: You can take any paint, chip, or sample and ask them to add a % of white. I did that with our paint color TWICE (50% white) and it STILL came out super intense. Next time, I plan on asking for 90% white 10% color for a super pale tone.

@sorrycharlie: We're planning to use this brand when we paint LO's room and playroom. It's made for kids' rooms, but they only have maybe 7-8 colors. They do have a light pink (not sure if this is light enough though?).

1.DD's sleep improved drastically once we stopped nursing (October). Now, she STTN every night from 7-6:30ish. And at the end of our bedtime routine she excitedly says "nigh-nigh" and goes down without protest!
2. I'm thinking of weaning out the white noise, but our floors are so darn creaky that I'm not sure it's a good idea while we are still in this house.
3. When she tries to climb out of her crib!? I'm pregnant with #2 (due in Sept) and we are prepared to buy a 2nd crib if DD continues to be the sleep champ that she currently is.

1. LO STTN 11-12 hours in his crib. Occationally he stirs, but goes right back down when I talk to him over the monitor. He takes a 1.5-2 hour nap at 11 in his PNP, he has never really done naps in his crib. I have been lucky, LO has always been a good sleeper.

2. Nothing soon, either transition naps to the crib, or transition to A big boy bed. I hope to not do either at least unil I have another baby, and we have not started TTC yet. a later nap might be nice, but we plan to just follow LO's cues on that.

3. No time soon. Waiting until 3 appeals to me, because that is when I would feel comfortable with him roaming the house unattended. We hope to have another baby before then, so that might necissitate an earlier transition. Also, LO is a climber, but he likes his crib, and sleeps in a sleep sack, so that might delay climbing out of the crib.

I honestly cannot complain about sleep, she's a rockstar with that (brushing teeth, on the other hand, is a whole different story!).

1. Where are your LO's now with sleep? How many times do they get up? How many hours do you average? STTN and has been for quite a long time. My DH came up with a routine that works for us. When she starts looking tired (we have no set bed time, which is probably a bad thing), we turn off the lights, say good night to the Spike sticker above the light switch, turn on her noise machine, and put her in her crib with many kisses and hugs. She almost immediately puts her thumb in her mouth, but it pops out soon after she's asleep. In her crib are a taggie blankie, little shaky bird from a play set, her sleepy time Elmo, and her Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother aquarium, which has apparently been discontinued  . God help us if that thing ever breaks. She goes right down and is usually asleep very quickly. Sometimes she'll wake back up, turn the aquarium back on, and go back to sleep. The only time we have a problem is when she's pooped, then she won't go back to sleep for obvious reasons!

2. What are your next steps in their sleep journey? I guess start working on setting a consistent bedtime.

3. When are you planning to transition them to a big girl/boy bed, if you haven't already? If we have another LO, she'll probably be at a good age to transition to a big girl bed at that time. The crib's working well for us right now.

Edited to add link to TRU Baby Einstein Sea Soother. Amazon says discontinued: http://www.toysrus.com/buy/sound-and-light-soothers/baby-einstein-sea-dreams-soother-90609-12482416

C still sleeps with us in bed and we just middle of the night weaned. She still gets BF morning, nap and bedtime. We have to lay with her to get her to sleep which can take anywhere from 10 min to over an hour. She does get 12 hrs of sleep but does wake up 3-4 times where we have to redirect to the bed and to "sleep" and "cuddle". I still don't feel like I have gotten a full nights rest since before I was preggos!

We are going to try and get her into her crib at the end of the month when she'll be 18 months. It's going to be a hard battle since she doesn't know how to put herself to sleep and can cry for a long time. I think we are going to try a combination of CIO and slowly leaving the room. Since she already had a paci, we are hoping she will pick up a lovey too to help comfort herself!

I don't see us going to a big girl bed until she can put herself to sleep and consisting sleeps thru the night, which could be a long time!

It's nice to read this thread to not feel like we are the only ones who are still dealing with sleep issues!

@Grace: I just stopped feeding C at night by saying "Let's cuddle" or "Sleep time only, no milk" . It took about three nights of crying wake ups where I had to rock her for like 5 min, but now when she wakes up at night it's usually because she is still half asleep and goes back down easy!

C is technically end of July but I'm jumping in anyway! :)

1. Where are your LO's now with sleep? How many times do they get up? How many hours do you average?
This is the worst her sleep has been in a long time. She started STTN at 9 months, but over Christmas she got a cold and cough then eat infection and her sleep is still bad. She goes to sleep on her own (though lately she cries hard for a few minutes first) but she wakes up at least once during the night and screams until Dh or I go in. She won't settle back down in the crib so one of us sleeps in the bed in her room with her until morning. If Dh goes in she just needs the snuggles but if I do she insists on nursing for ages. I miss STTN. Naps have gotten shorter too.

2. What are your next steps in their sleep journey?
Hoping this is a sleep regression that she will grow out of in her own. Before this she was doing great.

3. When are you planning to transition them to a big girl/boy bed, if you haven't already?
I am hoping to get to as close to 3 as possible. Most likely we will transition around that time when we have another baby. However she is a climber and already tries to put her leg up. She's short, but we may not make it to 3.

@Grace: if it's working for you I don't think its a problem. Like you, I have no idea what we will do when we wean, but I'm also hoping that when we do, she won't be wanting milk and will just take snuggles, the way she is with Dh.

@Grace: apologies for crashing your thread but my LO was at least 18 months old before she dropped her night feed and night weaning coincided with her really upping her solid intake. If it doesn't bother you then I'd just nod and smile at your Pedi ;-)

1. Where are your LO's now with sleep? How many times do they get up? How many hours do you average?
We just went through a rough patch with sleeping but it's been about a month of good. She goes to bed at 630 ( I know, it's crazy early, but after reading a bunch of stuff, I figured she was getting overtired and that's why she was sleeping horribly. 90% of the time she wakes up at 3 and needs a diaper change then I throw her a bottle and she typically sleeps until 8am. She's always required a lot of sleep. She takes 1 - 1.5hour nap around 1230. I'd like to get it to a 2 hour + nap as she's so tired by about 6 I could easily have her in bed by then.
2. What are your next steps in their sleep journey? I really need to get rid of the bottle.. but it just makes everything so easy! I throw her in her crib with a bottle and she never makes a peep until she wants up ( from a nap or for that diaper change.)
3. When are you planning to transition them to a big girl/boy bed, if you haven't already? I'm waiting as along as humanly possible to get her in a big girl bed. I know that's going to be a disaster!

1. Her sleep is so, so much better than it used to be. She STTN and I rarely have to go in (usually only if she's sick and restless). She sleeps 12-12.5 hours overnight (usually 7-7:30).

2. I don't really have any plans until we transition her out of the crib.

3. I have no idea when we'll transition her. Definitely not before 2. She naps on a cot at daycare just fine, but we're in such a good place with her sleep that I really don't want to mess with it!

1. He can fall asleep on his own just fine, but wakes up a probably twice a night, sitting up and repositioning himself or rolls around like crazy. He sleeps about 11 hours at night and naps once a day for 2 hours.

I'll combine points 2 and 3 of us. We're still co-sleeping (someone save me, please); and he has zero interest in sleeping on his own. So him sleeping in his own bed would fantastic. Sucks having him sleep in the middle between us. He's a heavy roller when he sleeps so when he's not inbetween us, he will roll off the bed. Sigh. This has happened several times when we've placed him on a queen sized bed. what the heck.

@.twist.: Urg. I don't want a paci monster either! She's never liked them anyways. So I'm doing the status quo for now (until her next ped appointment where I get yelled at again).
