I wasn't pregnant at the time, but none of the adults in our family contracted it when my LO had it at around 10 months. I think it's really rare for adults to be affected; I bet your doctor just wanted to be really conservative and test anyhow.

Wow just realized lo1 had it when I was about ten weeks pregnant. Didn't even think to be concerned since it is a childhood disease.

@littleredhairedgrl: My lo had it when I was about 30weeks too. I didn't get it, I assume I got it when I was little.

@PurplePeony: @coopsmama: thanks! starting to feel a little better about it. I'll get my blood work back on Monday and should be fine. I don't feel sick and it's been about 4 days since A has even had a fever so hoping things are ok.

C had it when I was 30+ weeks pregnant with M. I forget how far along exactly but it would've been last summer so 30+ weeks. And it was just fine - I didn't get it and it didn't cause any complications!

My understanding is that, by the time most people reach adulthood, they've already been exposed to the virus that causes roseola and are likely immune. Most cases of roseola are in toddlers and early elementary school kids. So it's likely you already had it a long time ago and won't get it now...but I'm no doctor so definitely call yours to find out what they want you to do (if anything).

My daughter had it while I was about 12 weeks pregnant, and nothing happened. I took her to the doctor, and asked about myself, and he just said to make sure no fever or rash shows up. But nope, I didn't get anything.

A just got over having roseola - almost 10 days of fevers followed by a mild rash on her belly, back and neck. her pediatrician told me that since I'm pregnant I should inform my OB that I've been exposed. I went for blood work today to check if I have it or have immunity and now I'm starting to worry. I'm 31 weeks today (which is 1 day past how far I made it in my pregnancy with A!) but I feel it's all clouded by this now.. I don't feel sick at all and the baby is moving around like a mad man, but I can't help but worry. :bummed:

Has anyone else been exposed to roseola while pregnant?

K's fever never got above 101 when she had roseola. The doctor just said fever- he never specified high fever!

Has anyone's LO's had Roseola w/out a super high fever. I think my DD has it but her fever never seemed to rise above 100.5. She was just slightly warm and fussy for 3-4 days and then on the 5th day has a roseola like rash on her chest.

I'm certain - she has roseola but everything I seem to find on it - it mentions HIGH fevers. Not really worried because she is doing great today - just curious.
