@shopaholic: Have you looked at the Bugaboo Donkey? I saw a few moms with it at my church (with 2 kids) and it looked really nice!

UPDATE: So I went to test drive all 3 strollers (and then some) today! The main contenders: City Select, Uppa Baby Vista, and Bugaboo Cameleon.

- The City Select DOES look cool with the 2 kids options. It was pretty big and bulky for my taste and comfort. I couldn't even lift the stroller folded w/one seat in it beyond like 1 ft. off the ground! (Note: I have CTS and tendonitis already and out-of-use arm muscles.) Overall, I think it's too much stroller for me when we are just "considering" having a #2 close in age.
- The Uppababy Vista looks as chic and sleek as I imagined! I admit I like the all black Jake version and even the slightly wider stance (over the Bugaboo). Especially love the big basket underneath! I had quite a bit of trouble with the folding, though DH got it on the 2nd try. It was much more manageable for me to lift (like into a trunk) w/out the seat attached. I liked how easy it was to change/add all the seats.
- The Bugaboo Cameleon is like THE most popular stroller in my city. But I think I was already won over by the slightly more affordable, all-black UBV. I DID like the handling and how lightweight it felt! I forgot to try to fold it myself, but it does feel lighter to lift (you have to take out the seat). No possibility of a 2nd seat is a con.

Overall, I think all the recommendations and reviews were very helpful and accurate! I'm convinced we'll do the UBV, though DH thinks it's absolutely ridiculous to spend so much money on a stroller. He wanted to see "the cheapest stroller" and they showed us an UB umbrella stroller and the City Mini. He was pretty much sold on the Mini for the price. I did like the one strap/handle close on the Mini, but I think my mind is made up on the UBV.

Oh - and the Rumble seat seems like a good enough option if we do have a #2 close in age. If they were further apart, I'd probably want a side-by-side or hope that #1 can walk!

(We also looked at the Orbit, Quinny, and Stokke since they were there.)

@hilsy85: thanks! I was really close to buying it thinking DS could use the rumble seat for a year. I think it would work better for us if my LO's were 1-2 years apart so maybe for baby #3!

@HeatherlovesKenny: yeah it says 35Lbs on their website. When I looked at it, I was told that I should plan to put the older child in the main seat and the younger one in the rumble seat (once they're old enough), as that will also help it to push better with the weight distributed like that. Not sure if that's something you would want to do. We'll see if it works for us when the time comes :)

@hilsy85: we test drove the UBV with the attachment and the sales lady told us the attachment held up to 45 pounds but if its only 35--then it's out of the question for us since DS is already 32.
We have a City Mini double and the UBV is so much smoother. But it might get harder to use now that DS is getting bigger. I would definitely recommend the UBV for one baby though! The bugaboo is nice too but harder to adjust, IMO.

Also, we don't have a BBB near us but nice baby boutiques carry the high end strollers--call around to see if any smaller baby stores have them in your area!

I have heard that for parents who plan to have two kids close in age (like 2 under 2), then the city select or a "true" double stroller is better. The UB vista isn't really a "true" double--it's harder to handle with the bigger kid in the rumble seat, and the seat has a 35lb weight limit, so a big kid can't sit there for tooo long. But if you just want the option to have an extra seat to plop a kid into when they're tired, then I think it fits that role. That's why we got it--for the option.

We have the Baby Jogger City Select and we got it just for the reason you described. We plan on having 2 LOs close in age and the Uppa Baby rumble seat was not as good as the Baby Jogger City Select. We also looked at the Orbitz, and it is another good option if you plan on having 2 LOs close in age. We love our Baby Jogger City Select, it is amazing. Everyone compliments us on the stroller. I personally think it's much easier to close than the Uppa Baby Vista, but that may just be me. We originally planned on getting the Uppa Baby Vista or Orbitz but once trying out the City Select I was sold.

@nycalimama & @princessbaby- Thanks for your reviews! Yeah, I WISH we had a Buy Buy Baby near us! :( Nearest one is close to 2hrs away. I see one that's kind of close that says "opening soon" and I can't wait! I think I will have to go to a specialty boutique to test drive.

@princessbaby - I agree with you. I figure by the time we do have a #2, #1 will probably want to walk or run around most of the time and the rumble seat is just a nice option to have if she gets tired, etc. I watched some youtube videos on the UBV and Bugamboo Cameleon and was sold from the video, but I need more people IRL to help me convince DH! Though, he really doesn't have much of a say in this matter hahaha!

@mamamoose - I read something similar elsewhere about the City Select being hard to maneuver and bulky. Yes, it's hard to even compare without having them in front of me. Definitely need to go to the boutique to see them in person.

@stiffaknee - Thanks for that link! Love reviews w/pictures!

BRU doesn't carry the higher end strollers in store, so just for future reference, you'll want to go to a Buy Buy Baby to test drive the UBV. Test driving it is what absolutely sold me on that stroller. It drives like a freakin' Mercedes-lol! It also is what convinced DH that spending close to $700 on a stroller was worth it:) Prior to that test-drive, he was like "Wait - HOW MUCH is that stroller????" So I encourage you to definitely test it out in a BBB before you make any decisions! Not to mention that since BRU doesn't have them in store (or online the last time I checked), they can't possibly be that knowledgeable about them, nor does it benefit them at all to push you in the direction of a stroller they don't carry. FWIW, when we went to BBB, they RAVED about the functionality of all aspects of the UBV, and kept saying how of all of the strollers, it was the most "well-rounded," For DH's sake, I asked if there was anything remotely comparable to the UBV in a little lower price range, and the rep actually cut me off with an adamant, "No" and a smile. I bet she gets that a lot! So that's just my 2 cents!

As far as the rumble seat goes....I've read that it's not PERFECT, but it's definitely a manageable option. And the reviews I read about it were favorable enough that I felt really good making the purchase. This ability to convert it into a manageable double stroller, and even being able to put the Piggyback thingy on it for a third older child, were the main reasons that I went with the UBV. But those options combined with all of the other options is what totally sold me. So even though the rumble seat may not be as perfect as say, buying a Bugaboo Donkey when the time comes, I think that the option to have the Rumble Seat combined with all the other fabulousness of the UBV is what makes it such a good purchase. For me, at least!

And I haven't found anyone who has it who does not absolutely love it- which said a lot to me because I always hear complaints or little things that moms wish they could tweak about their stroller.

Soooo, try to get to a BBB to test-drive! And the stroller experts at BBB are amazeballs and can really help you with your questions! They can also put a rumble seat on a UBV so you can see how you feel about it!

We have an UB Vista but the LO isn't here yet never mind #2. So I don't have practical experience yet. But I wanted to say we tested out the city select and didn't like it. I agree that you do have more flexibility with the second seat but to me that wasn't enough to convince me to get it. I foun it to be much more bulky and awkward to use than the Vista. One of my cousins has the city select and she dislikes it and her husband hates it. She specifically told me to get the Vista because her friends who have it (even with two kids) are much happier.

I used the Uppa Baby Vista rumble seat with DD 1. She was 3 yo when my second DD was born. It worked well for us for about 6 months. My eldest DD is tall for her age so she needed more space and eventually got tired of only facing one direction. At the point where the eldest outgrows the rumble though, you could switch kids and put the younger one down there, but I didn't feel comfortable putting the baby down there. That was just my personal feeling. It doesn't recline or switch directions at all which was a big setback for me. I like that the 2nd seats on the B-Ready and City Select (I think) do though...

So we eventually sold the stroller because our needs changed (plus, we moved cities also). But for the 6 months we used it, it was awesome. We lived in NYC and I needed something to keep both girls warm during long walks in the cold winter and covered in the rain. The Uppa Baby Vista is a fantastic stroller. If you really want to test drive strollers, go to Buy Buy Baby. They have a wider selection.

Went to BRU tonight to see if I could "test drive" different strollers, but most specifically the UBV. Of course, they didn't have ANY of the strollers I wanted to test drive, but the sales associate started to make me doubt the UBV, when I thought I'd finally been converted over from the Bugaboo. She said if & when I will want/need to use the 2nd seat/Rumble seat, it's not very good and the older kid won't really fit in it?
The addition of the 2nd seat, along with the sleek and stylish design of the UBV, are what really sold me on the Uppababy since we think we'll probably want a #2 pretty close in age to #1.
Anyone on here use the Uppababy Vista with the rumble 2nd seat? Any words of experience appreciated!

P.S. In case you want to know, she was really pushing the City Select stroller instead.
