Thanks Ladies!

And we are actually STILL on the babymoon, but with the time difference and early nights here, there's still been downtime to catch up on HB! :)

FYI: I called the OB and was given the OK to ride the helicopter & I DID IT! We went all over the island yesterday and it was magnificent! I researched different company reviews and ended up in a copter with an 85 year old woman! The pilot was super safe and we had a very calm and amazing flight! Definitely a lot smoother than a boat ride!

I don't see why you can't ride a helicopter. Maybe run it by your ob first!

Haha! The replies are all pretty much NOs and over half the votes are for Yes! hehe - I will discuss w/hubby tonight. If we can't do the heli tour, we'll probably do the boat tour b/c I definitely don't want to miss seeing the Na'Pali Coast!

For me, I wouldn't b/c it might be bumpy and I don't want to get air sick. I've flew on a Cessna (4-seater) airplane before and got air sick like crazy. Plus, I'm not a fan of being in small spaces, especially while pregnant. I follow the better to be safe than sorry rule. :)

I wouldn't. It would probably be fine but to me it just wouldn't be worth the risk. Also, even by 18 weeks I did notice that my baby was sensitive to loud noises, so I think the helicopter would be distressing to baby even if it wasn't actually dangerous.

I would in good weather conditions. I took a helicopter ride once over the Grand Canyon and that didn't seem dangerous at all.

I'm not preggo so I can't attest to the sickness of being airborne, but I'm a thrill seeker in general so I'd totally do it at 18 weeks. Maybe not so much if I was much further along.

I said no. Not because I think it would harm your pregnancy (not at all) Personally I find helicopters really bumpy (but not in a harmful way) and I get really sick. You're also kind of smooshed into really close quarters.
So I vote no just because it would be uncomfortable and vomit inducing (made worse by being preggo) not because it's unsafe for the baby.

No, but I have a phobia of helicopters in general. I'd avoid them pregnant or not.

We're getting ready for Babymoon this week! eek!
DH and I would love to do a helicopter tour over the island,
but not sure about the safety? I've read that it's safe, and it's
up to different tour companies whether or not they want to
take a pregnant customer. DH and I are just concerned about
any choppiness or bumpy rides and maybe the seat belt issue?
IDK, we've never been on one obviously. We'd really like to do it,
but still always scared of things going wrong after the m/c.
Currently 18+ weeks.

Would you/Have you do a helicopter tour?
Please let me know your reasonings. Thanks!
