@Goldengirl: Around 31w my baby was breech. I have a little kickboxer too and at some point between 31w - 32w, he or she flipped head down. I thought I would notice an actual flop but I didn't. Like others have said, there's still room in there! My belly also gets visibly contorted when the baby moves a ton. I had it happen in a meeting around 32w and I was so embarrassed because it had to be noticeable to all. No one said anything. Of course, we feel it all so it's super hard for us to ignore. I also felt like the baby was doing flipturns last weekend at 33w -- like constantly for 5 minutes -- but at my scan the next day, he or she was head down and totally chill. Get ready for a wiggly baby!!

Lol! This started happening to me around 26/27 weeks too! If I cross my arms over my belly, baby kicks at my arms, sometimes hard enough to push them off my belly. I think baby doesn't like the feeling/pressure of it. Same thing happened when they put a monitor on me at the hospital a few weeks ago, kicking directly at the spot where the monitor was.

They move a ton all of the time. My second kiddo was transverse until close to the end of my pregnancy. As with his pregnancy, we came close to doing something like a version, but he flipped right on time and was more than ready to be born when I went into labor. It's the same kid that beat getting induced for high blood pressure too.

I am 36 weeks and this baby moves around and kicks way more then lo1 ever did. I am still surprised by it daily. There is so much time for baby to find his head down spot, no worries if he's doing flips or hanging out sideways.

Feeling less movement all the sudden is more of something to worry about -- for me it was a sign on low fluid. But more movement is good! And there's plenty of time for baby to changes positions so don't worry about that yet

I'm 26.5 weeks and the past couple days the baby suddenly feels totally different in the way he's moving. Before the kicks were fairly gentle, could feel them under my hand since week 18, like little air bubbles. Now it feels like he's turned sideways/transverse because I can feel his actual feet on my side... and his kicks (or punches) feel waaaay stronger and have actually been making me jump! When I put my hand on my belly it feels like he's punching me right in the hand... almost like twitchy/jerky kind of feelings. It's hard to describe but feels totally different and I can also see TONS of waves and movement when I look at my stomach now.. like he's constantly turning and rolling and going wild in there.

Did anyone else feel such a sudden change in how the baby felt or feel freaked out by it? I feel silly getting startled but some of the movements seriously feel like he's about to push right through my skin! I also worry about him being on his side and maybe that's why he's going nuts in there... if he can't move into the position he needs to be in. Clearly having lots of irrational FTM thoughts!! :silly:

@Goldengirl: Ha, I had a low-lying placenta with my first (they had to watch it from 20 to 24 weeks, but it resolved itself) and I felt movement every day from 18 weeks on. And, not sure if it's related at all, but to your point: my girl never--and I do mean never--slows down, even now at 18 months. :)

My BH didn't hurt, but contractions from dehydration did. Gatorade fixes it more quickly than water. But I really had to figure out how much water I needed (100 oz), figure out how many of my favorite straw cups that would be (5) and set times to finish each one (breakfast, 10am, lunch, 3pm, dinner) plus drink other beverages as I wanted.

This definitely happened to me! My abdomen would get rock hard. I'll second the other posters on drinking lots of water. It was hard for me, because I had HG - and because I'm just generally not very good at drinking water throughout the day. :silly:

If you don't like water, maybe find something else you wouldn't mind sipping on (like Crystal Light or something)? And if you only like cold water, invest in an insulated cup. They make really cute ones now! That's what helped me the most - I got an insulated cup with a straw.

Don't forget to mention it to your doc, too, just in case.

@T.H.O.U.: @LCTBQE: Thanks, that makes me feel better because everything I read online said BH are painless so I thought that couldn't be it. Definitely not fall-over-screaming kind of pain or anywhere close, just a quick tightening/cramping feeling that passes very quickly.

Sooo another thing to add to the list of weird things happening all of a sudden... the past few days (18-19 weeks) I've noticed that I'm getting some lower abdominal cramps that are a bit sharp, which in itself didn't really worry me because I've been crampy all through pregnancy so far and know that there's a big growth spurt going on. However I noticed that when it happens, if I put my hand over the area, my uterus suddenly feels rock hard. It lasts maybe 30 seconds and then stops.

Of course I got to googling and then freaked myself out about contractions. I'll check with my doctor this week if it keeps happening but just wondering if anyone else experienced this this early on? I thought maybe braxton hicks, but thought those weren't supposed to have any pain and typically happen later... so I don't know if that's it. I'm not super worried since they're infrequent... but the hardening thing kind of weirds me out. Any thoughts?
