@PinkElephant: I recently switched us to microfiber sheets after way too many sets of cotton sheets that pilled after just a few uses/washes (some cheap and some $$$). Happy so far! Amazon basics have been pretty good for me, with a ton of colors and patterns, but I know some reviews question the quality of the seam stitching so there may be some inconsistency there.

@meadow: I'll be contrary here and say that the 100% cotton Pillowfort sheets have NOT worked on my kids' deep mattresses - it is a struggle to get the fitted sheet on! The "microfiber" (polyester) ones have been fine fit-wise. They wouldn't be my first choice of fabric, but my kids were gifted a set each and really like that silky, airy feel.

The "Room Essentials" jersey sets are 100% cotton (but stretchy, like a t-shirt) and might be out in some cute prints right now for the college crowd.

ETA: I'm with you on not buying PBK - I've cleaned way too much nail polish, marker, putty/slime, puke, etc. out of sheets to think it's worth spending so much on toddler/elementary age bedding!

@meadow: we have Threshold sheets from target and have been happy with them. I already had a duvet cover from ikea that I wanted to use in DS’s room, so I just got solid color sheets from target to match. Holding up well after two years.

I have pillow fort kids too and neglected to check for 100% cotton because I assumed that anything for kids would be cotton. Definitely check.

I also got these from the normal sheet section at Target a few years ago for a little boy's train room. We told him they were train track print and he was happy.

So we are moving our twin 4yos into their big kid beds real soon.

I'm getting ready to order sheets (6 sets/3 per child)... I don't have high end taste......but just want to see if anyone has liked pillowfort sheets from target? I like the $20 price point (versus PBK where $20 gets you one pillow case :( )

LO converted to a toddler bed at 23 months. We bought a toddler comforter and sheets from Target. They don't have characters on them, but do have owls.
She started sleeping with a quilt and pillow around 16 months, it gets chilly in her room.

at this point her blanket is a A&A stroller blanket (its like 2 swaddles sewn together). I dont think she full gets the concept of a blanket yet. When I asked at her 15m appointment the Dr was pretty adamant no fluffy pillows/blankets until after 2.

We've been using a blanket since 12 months, and just recently she started sleeping with a doll and a beanie dog in addition to her blanket and paci.

ETA: The blanket is an A&A blanket. When she's two, I'll move into toddler bedding. She will be using the quilt I made her while I was pregnant, which is toddler sized.

I'm probably thinking about this way ahead of the game. When did your toddler start using a pillow and a "comforter" blanket? and when did you transition to toddler rails instead of a crib?

We purchased a crib that has toddler rails and hope to transition to that before we give her a twin/full size bed, We are no where near ready to make this transition yet as she's not even 18 months but i'm thinking it will probably happen this time next year.

Where did you purchase your toddler's bedding? do they make Crib mattress size sheet sets (pillowcase, top sheet, fitted sheet) and is it possible to find a cute comforter with out a character on it? I dont plan on changing the decor in her nursery unless we move.

just wondering how that all worked

Totally not what makes you a bad mom. These are just things we forget because we are human beings who have lots on our plates.

Doing it all can be hard, don't worry about. Daycares are great for keeping spares, DD used to come home in clothes that weren't hers because she had gone through all I sent in a day (usually from getting messy outside/during craft). Once she went through 3 crib sheets in a day and I had only sent 2.

Mommy fail ... It is a small thing, but it's one of the moments I feel like I dropped the ball and I am guilty of not being 100% present.....

Husband is traveling this week, and I am doing both drop off and pick ups at daycare (he usually does drop offs). And just now at 2:20pm, I suddenly realized I forgot to bring his blanket and sheet for naptime!!!

Daycare didn't call me (naptime began at 12:30pm) so I assume they have back up and everything should be fine ... but I am so guilty that I feel like I am not being a 100% mom :( I don't even dare to tell my husband.

Sorry, just a rant that I need to get it off my chest :(

Did you ever forget anything for daycare?

We have 2, LO is 13 + months. I have never needed a third. I do try to launder it the day it gets dirty though. DS is not a drooler, our biggest issue now is the diaper not holding in all the pee since he sleeps 11 or 12 hours. Even still, his winter sleep sack stays dry on the outside so I consider the sheets clean.
