I would only wear a black dress if it was really form-fitting or it showed off your bump really well. I made the mistake of wearing all black (a fitted long-sleeve top and leggings) with a cardigan-type sweater and you could barely notice my bump and I was 35 weeks. I don't think it's morbid, but it really played down my bump a lot. </p> <p>I didn't do formal maternity photos but we did get some family photos taken on a beach trip when I was almost 8 months pregnant. D, his brothers and the nephews all wore white button down shirts and me and my sisters-in-law wore black tops. Unless I'm turned to the side a bit the bump was really not super noticeable.
