It wasn't too "baby-ish" - mostly like a big backyard shindig with plenty of food and drinks. People played cornhole, a friend DJ'd music, we had a fire pit going and fun baby-related decorations, etc. We'd do it again in a heartbeat! My husband had just as much fun as I did. We look back on it so fondly.</p> <p>ETA: People brought gifts, but we didn't open them during the shower. It was otherwise mostly traditional, at a bakery, and we played games, but not stupid ones. We did the price is right for baby items which was fun. It was fairly small and family only. We did open presents, but it was both of us doing the opening, not just me. No games, just lots of good BBQ and drinks. It was a build-the-library theme, and we did not open gifts at the shower. I also had a girls-only shower with family and close friends in my hometown. That was the perfect balance for me. Honestly, I would have missed not having the girls-only shower in addition to the co-ed shower, but that's just me. It's sooooo fun. We basically just use it as an excuse to all get babysitters, drink (except for the mama to be of course), hang out, and celebrate.
