My son had that too behind the knees for awhile then in the elbows for awhile and thats what his pedi said. She recommended hydrocortisone mixed cetaphil applied generously several times a day but also important to keep the area dry from sweat. My son sweats a lot during naps and at night. I try to straighten his arms and unbend his knees when he first falls asleep. Then when he wakes up I wipe him down with a wet towel then moisturizer with cetaphil and hydrocortisone. I get something similar sometimes on my underboob. I would try lotrimin for a day to see if it's ringworm. When my son had it, it noticeably improved within a day or two. He seems unbothered by it. It is located solely in his elbow creases. At first I thought maybe it was dry skin, but lotion doesn't seem to be helping. In the worse elbow it feels a little "raised" as in there is a different texture than the surrounding skin, but it isn't hives. He never touches it / scratches it. It has waxed and waned, but it was particularly bad this morning so I'm on the verge of a ped appointment. Figured I'd ask around before calling in to see if anyone had an idea!
