Honestly - even though it's fun to watch him try new things - I honestly wish I had waited longer. It didn't help his sleep at all :/ And giving him solid food is actually a bit of work haha! We did BLW, and LO never really liked pureed foods, so now I'm basically shopping for food for 3 people and cooking extra for him. Our ped wanted us to give it a try just prior to her six month appointment so we could discuss how she does with it. LO was DEFINITELY ready. She would always reach for our plates and forks, can sit unassisted and chews on everything that gets in her mouth. She's not particularly impressed with cereal but she looooooved avocado. She gets so excited when she knows we are about to feed her. She sits in her high chair and flaps her arms like a bird and squeals!</p> <p>Despite her signs of readiness I wasn't willing to start any earlier than we did. I guess I don't really see the motivation to start early as long as LO is gaining weight on milk alone. L is also almost sitting up without support (well he did today for a few moments!) so i am more inclined to start.
