@babynumber1: I just took the bumper out because it was so annoying! hahaha. He tosses them over the top, though, so the bumper didn't help that!

@.twist.: We they were ending up on teh floor we put on a breathable bumper. We also put at least 5 pacis in there. But if it is intentional, I have no advice other than add a ton to the crib.

C does this, too! We put a few in there, and he'll always knock them out before he falls asleep. I'll let him cry for a few minutes, and then when I finally give it back to him, he'll fall asleep.

My husband goes in and puts them all back in the crib before we go to bed.. that way if he wakes up in the MOTN, he can find one!

My coworker told me she used to throw about a dozen of them in there :)

E has a wubbanub and it doesn't go overboard QUITE so easily but they and her jellycat take the plunge pretty often.

Think yourself lucky that he has only just started doing this!!! E has been doing this for months and I have spent the last few months (until very recently) going in multiple times to give it back to her. She also learnt at around 6 months that she could keep the whole house up by banging her dummy (paci) against the cot bars! She's like a prisoner banging a tin cup against her jail bars!! It wore thin pretty quickly - for us, that is!!

We had this issue with his lovey. Finally, I just let him cry. He cried about 20 minutes and then fell asleep without it, which I never thought would happen! I would try giving it back to him once and then that's it. He'll quickly learn to stop throwin it out. We do use a paci clip at night though, in case it slips out of his reach. We attach it to his sleep sack and it's fine.

@Anagram: That's kind of what I thought. I let him cry for a bit and then went in and gave it back (and his lovey which he tossed as well!). We sleep trained around 6/7 months and he was such a great sleeper, and then BAM, attached to a soother. Don't know what happened.

@pui: hm... yea, I'm not sure. The clips are metal and I can't imagine that being comfortable in the weird positions L sleeps in! haha. I also kind of would rather him not sleep with one, but he just flips if he drops it. haha #babytroubles

DS was doing this so for one of his naps I clipped it to his sleep sack. I watched him like a hawk when he finally fell asleep and he never tried it again even without the clip! But yeah that sucked for a few nights :/

My LO does this too. Honestly? At least 1/2 the time we have just started letting her cry. Because I'm not getting up all night for the rest of eternity to fetch her paci off the floor and give it to her. If she cries a long time, I go back in and comfort her, give it back.

But I'm hoping she's going to wean herself off the paci soon by doing this (with us not responding).

So, L finally figured out that he can toss things out of his crib. He's been tossing his soother out for the past 2 days.

Help me deal with this! What do you do? I normally put about 3 in the crib, but we recently took the bumpers off and now he tosses them ALL out.

I don't know what to do.
