@foodiebee: I'm sorry you are going through this too! I don't know much about endo, I had 2 successful pregnancies and didn't have any trouble getting pregnant, so it has never been a suspicion before. I'm going to ask my doctor about it though, and pay closer attention to my pain symptoms, since I've always just focused on the spotting.

@lamariniere: Yes, I have very similar symptoms to this, including the rectal pain, living on the toilet during my period, groin aches/pains, etc. Also horrible back pain, night sweats, hot flashes. I also had a very short luteal phase, consistently around 10 days, longest ever was 12. I'd start spotting around 8-9 days and then get AF on day 10. My RE diagnosed me with endo unconfirmed via surgery (but every dr I've ever seen has been pretty convinced based on my symptoms; no one feels like there's any doubt) because we decided to move straight to IVF first.

@lamariniere: Worth checking out for sure but could be just random ... that’s what we concluded at least for that red bleeding cycle of mine, it also started really early but next was back to “normal”. I hope it’s just one weird cycle to have it starting so early!

@bhbee: your spotting sounds similar to mine, but this month it started about 4dpo, which is unusual for me and sparked my visit to the gyno. I have really painful ovulation, especially on the right side. I occasional have the rectal pain, but not often. Cramps are usually not that bad, I don’t take any pain relievers for them.

@lamariniere: do you have the pain issues also or just spotting?

It’s normal for me to spot like crazy. I’ve never gotten resolution nor honestly had anyone very concerned, more like “well that’s unfortunate maybe you should try birth control”. I once got an ultrasound for a bunch of midcycle red bleeding. But my norm would be to spot by 11dpo if not 9dpo and progress to get AF around 16dpo. And AF can drag out with spotting also. Super annoying, but it did let me know early about failed ttc cycles ...

Bump!

I know this is an old thread, but my spotting issues have become very similar to the OP's. I saw my gyno this week who did an US of my uterus (normal) and ran a PAP, HPV and STD testing to rule out anything (all negative). I am not TTC. She said the next course of action is antibiotics for 10 days in case the testing missed something, and if bleeding continues after, a hysteroscopy. Has anyone had a similar experience, or previous posters, have your issues resolved?

Cervical sensitivity is due to an increase in hormones, as well as, to cervical placement and increased blood flow to that area (especially during intercourse). You may have more estrogen and progesterone with this pregnancy, as well as, your cervix may be placed lower with more blood flow than it was in your subsequent pregnancies. Also, different positions during intimacy may lessen the incidence of bleeding as DH's member may not hit your cervix as much.

Your cervix could just be really sensitive this pregnancy. With both my boys my RE had me on pelvic rest until I stopped the progesterone suppositories. So pretty much the whole first trimester.

@CatchAFallingStar: Yeah, I got AF :( you guys were definitely right. I'm pretty sure my brain made me have symptoms. It's crazy how complex it is. So this month I'm not stressing, I refuse to POAS until around the 27th so I'm not let down multiple times by seeing a BFN.

@cstanton13: It's really crazy how our brains can hijack our bodies when TTC! I will say the month I started TTC, I started spotting. It really kicked up as the months went on. The stress and overthinking I think caused it. It went away when I finally got pregnant. It made me nuts!

@cstanton13: Welcome! The mind is a very powerful thing and my guess is that you had some sort of bug since HCG isn't high enough to produce symptoms until about 6 weeks.
As far as things seeming different, it's crazy what we can become aware of that we never noticed before because we weren't looking.
It sounds to me that this cycle just didn't work out or that you possibly implanted late.
Best of luck! Oh, and you might like our TTC/POAS group for Sept under the TTC tab. It's a very helpful and active group.

According to Glow I ovulated on August 15th. I took an ovulation test on the 14th & 15th and my LH Surge was high both days. I know it sounds crazy but starting on the 17th my boobs were super sore, a couple days later still sore boobs and nausea something awful. I never actually threw up but I felt terrible. This continued and as days passed fatigue set in. I walk 2 miles a day 3-5 times a week. I could barely walk I thought I was going to pass out every time I did it. I've been walking for 3-4 months. I've literally took like 6 HPTs starting at like 10 DPO because I so anxious. Then the dreams started I've had two dreams that were super crazy and I never EVER dream like this (only when I'm pregnant, I did it the last time I was). AF is scheduled for Wednesday August 29th. Starting Sunday (I was cramping Saturday night while I lay in bed) I wiped and there was light pink on the paper. This continued all day and by the end of the day it was gone. I went ahead and put a pad on just to monitor it. I woke up this morning and it was back. Its more brown now, and there is some on the pad but I really see it when I wipe. I got my hopes up (again!) and took yet another HPT and it was a BFN. I NEVER spot before my AF, except if hubby and I do the deed a few days before sometimes I will spot but then it goes away until my actual start date. We haven't done anything for a week. I usually get a major headache and I feel like my uterus is going to fall out then I start. I feel nothing only the spotting. I walked again Sunday and couldn't finish because I felt dizzy and exhausted. I will add that the last pregnancy I tested on 14 DPO and got my BFP (I don't know if I could have tested sooner because hubby and I weren't exactly ttc. We had the mentality if it happens it happens) Am I crazy?? Am I making up the symptoms in my brain?? Is there still hope or am I finished this round?

I had awful spotting on the minipill, and I went off of it until I was done nursing (I used condoms). I had normal cycles while off the pill. I had previously used the minipill after LO1 with no issues. I also had some spotting on the regular pill, and finally found one that is working for me (Sprintec Tri).

I just got my period back at 9 months pp and it was a doozie...then 4 days after it stopped it started right back up again. With DS1 I had basically 2 periods every month while I was on the mini pill and it drove me NUTS. I'm worried that's what is happening again now. I'm thinking about just quitting hormonal BCP until I'm done nursing. Has anyone who had crazy spotting/breakthrough bleeding on the mini pill tried this? I'm worried about a) the spotting continuing and b) how can I get a good sense of my cycles to start if I don't know what is *actually* a period?

Because I was pretty pale, he came to the conclusion that I was dehydrated. I'm to rest, drink lots of water and keep as cool as I can. Sadly keeping cool is proving to be difficult. Our A/C Unit for the house is really old and the vent work in the house is terrible. So cool rags and fans for me. So far so good. Thank you everyone!
