So incredibly sorry you are dealing with this. I can't imagine how upside down your world feels.
Putting myself in your shoes (which is incredibly hard to do, I'm sure it still falls short), I would take today to gather my thoughts and decide what I'll do if he comes clean vs does not. I would probably take the day off from work.

I would approach him tonight and say that given the circumstances it is clear that there has been some infidelity. And this is his final chance to come clean. I think regardless of his answer (denies or admits) I would want some time to myself to think about my next steps. So I would stay at a hotel or a friend's house. I personally would rather remove myself than try to make him go - and he could always try to come back. If I'm gone I can try to keep it private until I'm ready to talk again.

For me, and this is just me, I wouldn't immediately go the lawyer/divorce route. I would want to first try to work things out via counseling and trying to heal. Mayyyyybe separation, but with plans to reconcile. Just so I could get some space and figure things out.
Of course it all depends if you already have kids, that could make a huge difference in terms of leaving/separating even temporarily. My above scenario is assuming no kids yet, just the pregnancy.

Very sorry, you'll be in my prayers.

Nothing but love coming your way, no one should have to go through this while pregnant. I think you in your heart will decide what needs to happen and the conversations that will need to happen, and only you can decide what is best for yourself and your growing family.

Then I would present the facts to him and ask him his side of the story again. Tell him this is his last chance to tell you the truth.

I'm so sorry. The most logical explanation is usually the right one. I really can't say what I'd do in this situation, I think you should look inward and trust your gut. Marriage counseling might be a good idea, maybe before hiring an attorney which would surely end your marriage a lot faster. There is no right or wrong answer though.

I'm sorry that you're dealing with this. Chlamydia is spread by sexual contact, not by toilet seats, etc. While an infection can be asymptomatic, it's NOT like herpes virus, which can be latent and non-transmissible for periods of time. If you were negative a few months ago and are positive now, you contracted the Chlamydia bacteria in the intervening period of time. If your husband is your only sexual partner, then it came from him. It stinks that he is not being honest about it, but I promise you he's not some medical anomaly.

Beyond sorry for you to deal with this while pregnant. you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I don't know the medical side but it seems like your worst fear is likely true and he cheated and isn't being honest about it. I have had close friends have this happen and they each decided differently what to do about it - one stayed and one moved on. No wrong answer - it's what is right for you in your situation. I'll be praying for you.

I'm so sorry. :(

Unless there's another reason (medical professional?) your husband or yourself would have come into contact with it, I would think he cheated. (PP says it can "rarely" be spread by touching the eye after touching infected fluids.) The ONLY other thing I can think of is actually contracting it at the OB if they didn't sterilize something (like an ultrasound probe for a vaginal us) but that seems like a huge stretch too. It can't hurt to ask the doctor about it too. I know that's not what you probably want to hear and I'm sorry you're going through this. :(

Oh man...I'm so sorry. I don't have any medical advice, but my relationship advice is to look inwards and decide without your husbands input if you would be comfortable sticking around and trying to make it work if he has cheated. If you decide no, then I would contact a divorce lawyer and start setting the wheels in motion, and go to him to explain it all. If he knows you are serious I don't see why he wouldn't come clean. If you decide yes, then go to him and explain that, and what your terms would be for staying - but that he has to be 100% honest with you.

I guess - decide what your bottom line is first, then present him with his options.

I'm pregnant and switched doctors. They redid my blood work and I tested positive for Chlamydia. I was so confused and they reached the first doctor and sure enough I tested negative just a few months ago. I'm seeing the same doctor as with my previous pregnancies and she double checked, definitely negative the past times. I was retested because DH swears he didn't cheat. Still positive. DH got tested and he's positive too. We've been married for a while and I've been tested 5 times that I know of, all negative STD tests. He's never been tested before so I'm tying to convince myself that maybe he's had it our whole marriage (7+years) and it somehow just recently gave it to me. I know I'm probably being naive, but is there any hope? Or should I just woman up and face the fact that he most likely cheated. Seriously, FML.
