Thanks all. I didn't register online BUT i did send in the warranty card for the extended. So I sent them a whole email with video and will see what they say.

The issue with buying a used piece is, it's a Cameleon3 and older models won't work with our whees and seat, etc., AND, it's the entire chassis. So unless someone is selling the entire stroller at a ridiculously low price, it would make more sense to pay to replace the chassis.

Hopefully their customer service will come through.

I hate to be a downer, but I've found Bugaboo's customer service to be horrific. One of the clips on our seatbelt snapped, and coroner service's solution was that I buy a new seat for over $100 (to replace a cheap plastic clip).

If you are not under warranty, check your local mom's list service or Facebook buy/sell page. I see people offloading bits and pieces of their Cameleon on these all the time - that is how I replaced my seatbelt for a lot less money than gone by through bugaboo.

They have pretty good customer service. When we got ours, my husband thought the handle bar was really wobbly. I didn't think it was an issue, but he contacted them and they sent us a new one right away. We were under warranty.

I haven't had any problems with our frame, other than some squeaking (but that's because it needed a good cleaning). I would contact them and see what they say.

Did you register your stroller online with Bugaboo when you bought it? I registered mine and was able to find warranty info (we had 3 years) when I logged in. Our Bugaboo broke about a week after the warranty ran out. I didn't feel like it was safe to use. The store where we bought it repaired it for about €30, they lent us a stroller in the meantime, and it has been fine ever since.

So, today while taking a steep curb in my Bugaboo Cameleon, I heard a cracking noise and then the handle flopped down. I have been hearing clicks when I go over curbs occasionally, and this was a big one. It is not catching in the central locking mechanism, to the point where I can move the handle all the way forward, over the seat, so it's in the "off road position" without pressing down the white buttons.

I am frantically trying to find the receipt from purchase (Sept 2014) and hoping I have the extended 3 year warranty (I think I do?)

Questions-
-Has anyone dealt with this? A non-Bugaboo affiliated repair place said the only thing to do is replace the chassis ($400+) so I hope it's under warranty

-Is it unsafe to use in the meantime? The brake still works, I am just a little concerned about going over curbs. I need my stroller though! We live in the city and walk EVERYWHERE.

@Beth24: @Mrs. Pajamas: that does look like a good option! And the price is pretty good, too! I think my Target might have one of these out on the floor of the baby section for people to try. Maybe you can see if yours has an option to test drive it.

I think we found a second seat for our Britax (it's on its way from eBay), so I'm hopeful we figured out our stroller situation. We tested the newer model at BBB today and my 3 yo actually loved sitting in the bottom seat! He won't do that regularly though because he's at the weight limit. I'm actually glad we have the older model...apparently the newer one doesn't allow for the upper seat to recline all the way!

@Beth24: wow never heard of the bravo for 2 but just read all the review on amazon and it seems way better than the joovy, especially since we already have a key fit for the newborn. My biggest aha was reading that the joovy doesn't allow the key fit to click in, you have to use a strap. Not cool. Can anyone verify this? Thanks so much for the tip!

Have you seen the Chicco Bravo for 2? I actually have a Britax car seat but am buying this stroller for my newborn and 2 1/2 year old (got a second hand Keyfit from a friend to use with it). I test drove it at BBB and DD1 loved it! She doesn't sit in strollers well but she loves being able to stand up or sit down on the Bravo.

When baby was little I used a single stroller and a carrier. For Subway trips the umbrella stroller for around the hood the UPPAbaby Cruz with a biggie board I could put either child in the seat of the Cruz with some adjusting or wear the baby and put the toddler in the seat.

We also have a double umbrella, we used it today for a longer walk in Central Park and subway ride there and back.

My los are 6.5 25.5 months old. 18 months apart.

I thought about the joovy but this has worked well for us so far. My older lo hates to stroller and will mostly walk as long as we are ok traveling at 2 year old speed in possible the wrong direction...

@bookwormmama: bummer about the joovy! I have the lille and still use it for my 2.5 yo dd. My husband likes it too. A great purchase! We didn't get it until dd was over 1 but I read that it's better than the ergo since you can easily use it for a newborn with just a blanket rolled up. Good purchase for sure! I really like the back support.

@Mrs. Pajamas: I went to BBB today and I couldn't find it! I called last week and asked if they had one and the employee said yes, but I didn't see it today. They had another Joovy stroller that had the word Ultralight on it, so I wonder if the employee was just confused.

Based on the other reviews here, I'm not sure I would want to buy it without checking it out first. I might try to go back to BBB when it's less crazy (the stroller area had like 15 people in it today!) and see if I can find it. I mainly went today to have my husband help me try on a LÍLLÉbaby carrier with my son on my back. We got to check out some other things so it wasn't a total bust even though we had to sit in crazy traffic to get there

We have the Joovy Caboose Ultralight and like it, but I agree it's a bit clunky. My kids are 25 months apart and we used it with car seat adapter. The bench seat has a strap and my (tall) daughter didn't complain about being cramped, even though it looked cramped to me. She also LOVED the standing option as well as the ability to go back and forth between sitting and standing. We haven't used it for anything very intense though - more like wandering around farmers markets, street festivals, and malls.

Don't get me started on stroller companies selling double strollers but discontinuing the attachments if you dont' buy them right away. I'm looking at you, Citi Select.

However, I have the Joovy Caboose but don't think it's the ultralight. The BBB talked me out of the more expensive one but don't remember why. While I never used it with the car seat attachment, I have absolutely no complaints with it. The only time I have ever had steering problems, it's b/c the wheel locks were on and I didn't notice. Though I would agree that it depends on how you use it. We're suburban people so we break it out at the zoo and maybe an odd walk here and there. I wouldn't go off roading with this thing.

@gilmoregirl: I'm pretty pissed at Britax as well. I feel like one of the great things about the B-Ready is using it for a larger age spacing since it can go back and forth. I can't believe how quickly the accessories disappeared after the release of a 2017 stroller. I know they are a company and do whatever they want, but I will not be purchasing another stroller from them to replace this one. I wish I had known about the City Select and just gotten that one from the beginning!

@catlady: I've thought about a regular double, but I'm not sure I want to invest that much in a new stroller since I'm sure my son will be done with it before he hits 4. I might keep an eye out for deals. I don't think I'll go for a double stroller right away (unless I can find a second seat for my B Ready), but I plan on walking a lot to help lose baby weight and would like to have a stroller option!

@sungirl: thank you, that's helpful information! It would be a lot of outdoor stuff and I'm worried about using it for walks since it seems lighter weight.

I seriously looked at this stroller because LO1 was 3 when LO2 was born. We have a walking commute to daycare and LO1 is not ready to do the whole walk herself so we use the stroller every single day. However after seeing this stroller "in the wild", it just looked kind of cheap and also hard to use. We have bumpy sidewalks and snowy weather and based on the reviews, I didn't think it could handle it. I wish it could have worked though because it seems like a great idea.

Incidentally, I ended up buying a normal double (britax b-agile, as we already had a britax carseat). I haven't even used it yet because as @gilmoregirl mentioned, the recall just happened, and there is no replacement carseat adapter for the double. I've been wearing LO2 in a carrier exclusively since he was born 4 months ago and it's actually been fine. So I might recommend waiting to buy a new stroller until your new baby is here. I don't entirely regret buying our double (we'll probably at least get one year's use out of it) but I wish I had waited because it's just been collecting dust for 6 months now.

Depending on what kind of outdoor events you are looking at this summer it might not be the best bet. We had the Joovy Caboose Ultralight when DS2 was born. DS1 was 20 months at the time. I liked it for inside events, but it did not go well outside off the pavement/sidewalk. At least compared to the Bob. We mostly used it for museums and the like, but the next summer when the boys were 1 and almost 3 we got a double Bob and sold the Joovy. We didn't have any issues with room when we put the carseat in it (also the keyfit). We had the extra seat and the only complaint with it was that DS1 couldn't see well and complained. He preferred standing, but he was still a little young to do that reliably until he was 2+.

@bookwormmama: I'm in a similar boat as you - I've been looking at a used Joovy Caboose cause it looks perfect for what I need. My oldest just turned 3 and is really not ready to go without a stroller at all. My baby is about 8 weeks, and I've tried to wear him while big brother rides in the stroller, but I just don't think it works as my only option. I don't have back problems, but sometimes I just gotta be able to put the baby down.

Anyway, the friends I know with the joovy like it, but I've never asked for specific feedback.

Britax is on my shit list because my BAgile was recalled right when my second was born and I can't use the car seat adapter. And apparently the replacement part will arrive in 10-14 weeks...sooo basically when I won't need the car seat adapter anyway.

@catgirl: their email form system looks like it is down right now, so I sent a FB message Monday evening. I tried calling yesterday but sat on hold forever and had to hang up to get something done. I'm going to try to contact them again...maybe today. I'm really hoping they have one or know a store in my area that might still have some stock. I've seen one seat on eBay and it had like 30 bidders and went for over $200! And the car seat attachments are also going for $125+!

@Mrs. Pajamas: yes with the weight! DS is a solid 35 pounds, so he's out of the range for a lot of doubles already! I'm glad you saw it used in person with this age range and they liked it. I'll definitely let you know how it is after we see it in person!

@travelingnanny: thanks for the info! We live in a huge metro area with very crowded events/kids areas in the summer. Since he's a runner, I'm really concerned about him running off in a crowd and being unable to chase him with my newborn. I feel like I need something with him and I'm not sure I'll be able to babywear for an entire outing while he's in the stroller...I have back issues that made wearing more difficult with my son (but I'm looking at a more supportive carrier than the Ergo this time). He really liked the sit and stand we looked at at TRU. I'm glad I found a floor model to look at because I definitely want to test the handling out. Maybe I will get lucky and find a B-Ready second seat soon and not have to get a whole new stroller. Things aren't looking promising though :bummed:

I hate that stroller with a burning passion because it is so hard to steer. Plus your 3 year old probably isn't going to need a stroller for much longer so I'm not sure it would be worth the investment.

@bookwormmama: this stroller is on my registry for sure. My dd will be 2.5 when baby arrives. She doesn't run away but definitely still likes to sit for periods of time. I ran into a family using a carseat for baby and a 3 yo sitting and they raved about it. I've done a fair amount of research and it seems like the only option especially at this weight. But please report back after you check it out! We have the keyfit 30 for baby as well.

@Alba4: That's interesting. We love our Uppababy stroller because the handling is so great and we didn't find the Caboose that bad at all. I mean, I did hate it for 5 minutes before I figured out I had the front wheels in fixed mode, but once I released that it was great! We sprinted through 3 airports with both kids and bags and car seats and thought it pushed well. The fold was just like my UB stroller too. DH is super picky about strollers and he doesn't complain about the Joovy at all.

@Astro Bee: that's an interesting idea. I'm not totally convinced the novelty would keep him on the board/seat, but I have been debating a ride on board as well. I guess realistically I can get one and stick him in the seat and babywear if he runs off too much. I'm kinda holding out hope he will stop acting like a threenager and just listen when told to stop, but I know that's a long shot :silly:

@Alba4: good to know! I'm going to go to BBB this weekend I think and check it out. I want to see how the Keyfit fits in and see if my son even likes the bench seat. We tried a Baby Trend Sit n Stand at TRU this week and I was surprised with how easy it was to move and steer. Unfortunately it looks like the Keyfit doesn't properly fit in the BT and that makes me nervous! Did you go with a different double stroller option?

I was all set on getting one... until I tried it out at Buybuybaby. It is super clunky and not easy to handle. I decided against it.

If you are looking mostly to have a place for your oldest to sit or stand when your son gets tired, maybe look at a buggy board. The Lascal Buggy Board attaches to most strollers and has a saddle seat as an optional accessory. We are looking at this as an option for DS1. He's 2 now but we will probably wear the baby at first and push him in the stroller for the first few months.

Here is the link for the buggy board:
http://www.lascal.net/products/buggyboard

It's cheaper than a new stroller, and the novelty of it might keep him from running off.

@gingerbebe: I saw your reviews on other Caboose threads and I'm glad to hear you like it so much! I probably won't be out and about with both much the first couple weeks, but there is no way we could spend the whole summer at home. My 3 yo is way too active and busy to stay home all day! Maybe we will see how baby wearing and a single stroller goes for the first couple months and look at the Joovy after the second month. I didn't wear a lot with my son because he didn't like it. The Joovy rep said the seats are tested to be used around 3 months old. I know there are some events in the later summer I want to have a double option for because there will be large crowds and/or lots of walking. I was thinking of getting the second seat as well as an option for my son.

My 3 yo has never napped in the stroller. He barely naps in the car seat! We plan on keeping our Bob or B-Ready, so if #2 decides she will be a stroller napper we will have an option.

We have the regular Caboose with the second add on seat because my son wasn't going to handle the freedom of getting in and out well. We didn't start using it until my baby was sitting up - like 5 months - so we didn't use the infant bucket attachment. We like it, however my boys do not sleep in strollers so if that is a concern I would pass. The seats don't recline that much. It's wonderful at the airport.

When my baby was a newborn I wore him in a wrap and pushed my toddler in a stroller, but mostly avoided having to go out with both the first few months. I think the bucket would have taken up a lot of space for my tall kiddo but it's really only for a few months until the baby can ride in the seat so it may not be that bad.

My boys are 20 months apart.
