My LO is the same age and we do fleece PJs with a cotton swaddle over it. For my daughter we used sleep sacks after we got rid of the swaddle and I plan on doing that again this time.

Swaddles tend to be made from lightweight fabric to prevent the baby from overheating. A long-sleeved sleepsuit under it should suffice if you're also using a blanket (make sure it's tucked in tightly to the sides of the crib and that baby's feet are at the foot of the crib, to prevent wriggling down).

I have a cotton swaddle for my 3 month old. But under it he wears a long sleeve onesie and fleece or terry cloth Jammie's.

Ok thanks guys, those were the answers I was looking for.
I think a warmer swaddle will be needed.

I would just swaddle with warmer pajamas. Or do you have fleece swaddles? Those worked well when it was colder.

Generally, people start using sleepsacks after their baby is ready to transition out of the swaddle. I transitioned both my kids around the 4-5 month mark when they started getting more mobile and could roll over.

Nope, do not use a sleep sack over her swaddle. Those are meant to have the arms out in them, and it could get dangerously positioned around her neck or head. I'd just use fleece pajamas and the swaddle.

We did warmer pajamas too. There were a few nights where I didn't realize how chilly it was until after she was asleep already so I risked it and tucked a fleece blanket over the lower half of her body since she was so tiny that she wasn't escaping her swaddle nor was she able to move the blanket well.

Why not put her in warmer pjs and a swaddle? I don't think I'd put a swaddled baby in a sleep sack.

Does anyone swaddle their baby then put them into a baby sleeping bag? It's going into autumn here and we're going through a cool night period and I want to swaddle my 14 week old but also keep her warmer than just using a blanket. The swaddle we use is a stretch t shirt fabric with a zip up the centre and she has to keep he arms crossed on her chest or down by her sides. The sleeping bags have a neck hole and arm holes and a zip down one side. I guess I am worried if we put her in the sleeping bag in the swaddle she might wriggle down and the sleeping bag fabric will come up over her mouth. Is she too small? I don't really get it. What are my options? What did you do?

Also she is in long sleeve onesies for night time.

If we put her in the sleeping bag without the swaddle she tends not to sleep as well because she can thrash about with her arms being out and wakes herself up.
