We have two chaise lounges on our patio/ pool deck. The lounges have built in retractable trays to place things on- sun block, beverage etc.

Once we have kids, I imagine we will add a chest to store pool & lawn toys.

We have a inground pool, water table, radio flyer trike, cozy coupe, radio flyer wagon, bubble mower, blow us pool, swing that we need to put up. I will be on the lookout for a used playhouse for the girls.
The coupe, water table, pool and sidewalk chalk get used a ton.
We also have patio furniture.

@Alivoo01: which plants and do you think they work?

Kids stuff wise, we have a covered sandbox, I plan to put 4 adirondack chairs around it this summer. We also have a wooden play structure.

Furniture wise, we have a pool, so we have 4 lounge chairs and a small table and chairs in that area. On our deck, we have our dining table and 6 chairs. We also have two of those cantilever market umbrellas.

Our backyard is itty bitty witty so I only have some plants back there that are to deter mosquitos since we grill a lot in the summer. There's a park near our house that we take DS to when we want to be outdoors. He also enjoys going along for walks so we'll put him in a car buggy and walk him.

What about a small slide/swing set or a lil swimming pool if your LO enjoys the water? Or a water/sand table sounds good too.

We have a table that fits 6 chairs on our patio. We'll bring LO's pool and water table out into the grass when it's a nice day in the summer and we just got him a sandbox that we need to find a space for. Other than that, we love our lawn, so we keep it open for LO to play around. We have a lovely rose garden off to the side of our patio and a large Oak tree in the back corner that offers some shade.

Now that we're in March and spring is right around the corner, it's time to start thinking about outdoor furniture and toys/activities for the LOs! We just moved into our first home in November, so we haven't put much thought into what we're going to do with the garden yet, and I'm now looking for inspiration.

What do you have in your garden (backyard)? What things do your LOs play with a lot and what are space wasters? What kind of furniture do you have out there? Bonus points if anyone has any pictures to share!

We are also constantly working on our yards. Both front and back are fenced, but there is a constant need for upkeep just to keep it safe for babies. Right now we just put in a garden in the back yard and pulled out a bunch of ground cover to garden in the front yard... and then all that needs to be fenced to keep curious babies out!

Isn't it nice to know you'll have a great place for the baby to play?

That's so exciting!! Are you putting in irrigation so you don't have to water manually all the time? That's one thing we sorely regret not doing with this house.

hurrayyyy!!! that's the thing I'm looking most forward to when we eventually move... I cannot wait to have a backyard for the doggies and kids!!!! Driving to parks is fine but it'll be so great when I can just open the doors and let them out there while I'm cooking dinner or can just sit on the patio with a lemonade and a magazine!!!!!

We finally have started laying sod in our backyard. My goal is to have a beautiful landscaped backyard by the time her first birthday comes around (in 3 months). We have set aside an area for a swing set and will hopefully have lots of grass for her to play on!
