I had 22 baby teeth extracted. The oral surgeon was like, my best friend. Most I did was 8 at one time. Cray! I had braces, headgear, retainer, etc. my lowers are also all crooked now. And my top ones are setting to shift! Annoying! There's not much that you can do other than pulling them off and relatching. We'd go through phases where it would hurt on the left side a lot and then it would be fine. He didn't want to do it himself, so I would brush for him. I've tried every single trick above...letting him pick out the toothbrush, showing him that we brush our teeth, starting young (like when he got his first tooth)...nothing works. It's a fight every. single. night. I tell her to go to her toilet (the toilet in our bathroom, she uses it like a table) and then I get both of our toothbrushes ready. I hand her hers and she pretty much just chews on it or sucks off the toothpaste while I brush, and once I'm done I rewet her brush and quickly brush her teeth.</p> <p>It works well for us. We used to have to hold her down and she would thrash like we were trying to skin her. </p>
