<description>&#60;p&#62;I thought we escaped separation anxiety but maybe not.  LO is 10 months old and lately he gets hysterical when I leave the room.  I have to leave him in the living room to do dishes in the kitchen some times and he'll crawl after me and cry at me through the baby gate.  It's so depressing. How do you manage chores when LO is awake? I prefer to not have him crawling around the kitchen because he always gets into the compost and garbage.  I've tried sticking him in the high chair but he gets restless after a while.  What the heck do I do?  What do you do with your LO when you have to cook and clean?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;ETA: DH doesn't get home until later in the evening so it's just me and LO for the first two hours.
