@theotherstark: Just saw this...sorry! It went up from 97.9-98.1 on Friday, and was 98.0 today. I am calling myself 2DPO.....and now incredibly freaked out that my Luteal Phase might be super short based on when I'm supposed to get my period (or....FX....an implanted embryo?!). It's always "something," isn't it?!

@ChiCalGoBee: Ugh, I'm new to OPKs too. They're so confusing! I don't think you should panic, though - my box says after a positive, ovulation should occur within 12-36 hours, so I think it's likely you caught the front end and then have gotten positives since then. It's possible it might be taking a bit longer to ovulate, too? Or something? I don't know :) Ha. Our bodies are so mysterious sometimes. Did you get a temp rise this morning??

@theotherstark: 3rd smiley in a row today.....now I'm beginning to panic. What the heck is going on?! So, uh, 3 positives....FX for a temp rise tomorrow so I can naively believe last night's BDing was actually at the right time. Oy vey!

I'm new to OPKs, and I got a positive (smiley face) on Tuesday afternoon, although my line didn't look dark. I also got a smiley face yesterday afternoon, and "my" line looked darker than the control line. However, this morning there was no temperature raise...I am planning on testing this afternoon to see if it's negative, which I think means O has already occurred? Shouldn't my temperature go up? This all is way more confusing than my junior high Sex Ed class led me to believe!

@theotherstark: yeah people are really different so you'll just have to see over time how it works for you. mine is not gradual at all - it's very negative, positive for a short time, very negative again. of course I also have fertility issues so could be related. many people get that gradual build-up and ramp-down.

@bhbee: Interesting! I actually just started using OPKs (because I was curious), so I am fascinated by all of this! I was really intrigued to read (on a few other threads as well) that you get a negative so quickly; I would have thought it was a more gradual progression. The things you learn from these threads! Love it.

I got a positive yesterday evening (test line same color as control), and this morning the test line was darker than the control.

I stop testing if I get a positive, so I put 1. really it's 0-1 because I have a naturally short surge and anything close to positive means I would get a positive in +-12 hours if I tested more frequently. on the few occasions I have kept testing it always goes more negative pretty quickly.

If you were pregnant a HPT would most likely be showing a BFP by now. Since you basically had protected sex, your chances of having conceived are slim.

There are a few of possibilities:
-You O'd later than normal and that is why AF is late.
-You O'd later than you normally do and are currently pregnant, but it's too early to show up on a HPT.
-Your cycle is just wonky because of stress, change in diet/exercise, medication, or for no particular reason at all.

Having a weird cycle happens to every woman every now and then.

I say test once a week until you either get a BFP or AF.

Hey there! First post ever!!
And there is a bit of tmi as well..

For starters I always start on the 22 of each month. I'm not sure when my ovulation occurs but I'm guessing we had sex when it was happening.
It was either the 7 or 10 of July me and my bf had sex. We didn't use a condom until he was "about ready". I am not on any bc.
Well my period was 6 days late and when I did start (on the 28 of July) it was light for me which is three days when im usually on it for 6/7 days (a tampon a day, no clots except on first wipe on the 28 which was the size of a sun flower seed seed). I took a test on the 22,24 and on Sunday. All I got was bfn :(
I've been having some light cramping, random pangs of pain in my breasts, a stuffy nose here and there, nausea that comes in waves, and diarrhea one minute constipated the next. And I'm gassy but mostly at night (which is odd for me).
Do you think I've been testing too soon?

Does anyone know if it's possible to do an endometrial biopsy during Laproscopic exploratory surgery?

My doc said she might wanna do an E.B. at some point soonish, but I'm not really all about that. I've read it's really painful, and I don't think they are big here on knocking you out unless it's really necessary.

My old doc had mentioned doing LAP surgery at some point, but my new doc hasn't said anything about that.

If she pushes the EB, is it ridiculous to suggest that we just do LAP as well, and do the biopsy at the same time? Is that even possible?

And if you had an endometrial biopsy, what was your experience?

Thanksssss! :)

I've heard the same... that many women fail the first and pass the 2nd. I failed the first and was high enough that they were nice enough to say let's not make yo go through the 2nd... you have GD. If you do have it, don't worry. It's a pain, but not terrible, and it will very likely go away as soon as you give birth. It does give you a much better appreciation for what you do eat! Ps. m dad is Type 1 diabetic, so my chances of getting it were higher than most.

I failed my one-hour this pregnancy and had to do the 3-hr. It wasn't bad (except realize it is actually 4 blood draws not 3, I didn't think about the one before you drink the glucose solution). If you have a tablet PC or smartphone, make sure it is charged. I did mine at a lab where they would do the blood draw, give me the time for the next draw then send me to wait in the general waiting area; luckily they had free wi-fi so I watched Netflix on my Kindle Fire to pass the time. However DH had used the KF last and didnt' charge it so the last hour seemed to take forever since I didn't have anything to do.
I know others have had different experiences where they were in a special waiting area that had a TV, etc. You might want to check out the lab accommodations beforehand if you haven't been there. Oh and the lab I was at was FREEZING, they ended up giving me a warmed blanket because I was shivering by the end.
