im feeling the same way...there has been times i leave our Dr's office in tears and heartbreak...but i have faith in our Dr and beleive that he can make it happen and he has so much faith and belief that we can be pregnant before my 29th bday well that is july 7th so only 7-8 months to go....im hoping nad praying fro a miracle to happen....we have had 2 CP's which have been extremely hard on me...but talking to family and friends helps alot...also see if your clinic offers a support group that helps too

some days it can be hard but one day it will all be worth it...keep thinking positive thoughts and one day your miracle will happen

I wasn't ovulating with my first, so I conceived on my fourth round of clomid. We never again used birth control after she was born, and I got pregnant again right after her third birthday. It had been so long that I'd totally given up on it.

it took me 2 years to conceive the first time (no birth control from 2005-2007, it was a MC though) then Caroline, baby #1 came almost 6 years after that (no birth control, 2 endometriosis surgery and a stint on Lupron 2007-2013)-- the 2nd pregnancy came 10 months after stopping birth control, but wasn't successful. My fertility SUCKS... but I will say, it was much faster time #2, after a live birth. So fingers crossed it'll be faster for the next time (4th pregnancy here we come)

Well I haven't conceived yet, but so far so good. I have PCOS and had very irregular and infrequent periods before I got pregnant so I expected I would not even see a period again in the first year, especially while I am EBF. However I got my first PP period when DD was 6 months and breastfeeding is still very frequent. I take that as a good sign. We're NTNP, but I still think it's unlikely I'll get pregnant soon.

You just never know. There are a lot on here who conceived #2 faster. If you count ntnp (forget months of pulling out method on top of that) and actually ttc with OPKs it took over s year to conceive #2 whole #1 was one month.

I agree with snowjewelz, the main reason I would want 2 is so that they would be siblings who would hopefully be life long friends. I think I would regret it later in life if LO1 didn't have a sibling.

I feel like the only reason I'm having 2 is to have siblings. I have a sibling, DH has siblings, so I guess I can't imagine life as an only child? But as LO #1 is getting closer to arriving, there are def a lot of realities that hit about having kids... Especially financially... So I think I can't say for sure until we're almost a year out w/ LO #1 to say we're sure whether we want #2 or not.

Yes. But I felt that before we started trying for #1. Like, I had it in my head when we decided to start a family that you have 2 kids. So I was determined to decided when we would have the first and when we would have the second at the same time we were deciding whether to even have kids! My husband finally said "why don't we just start with one and see how it goes", which opened a whole new world to me. It had honestly never occurred to me.

Since then (like, as of the next day) we were pretty much one and done. But yes, I get what you mean!

For me, the urge for number 2 came very strong. I would get teary eyed when holding babies because I knew I wanted another one, I thought of babies constantly even though we knew we needed to wait until late spring to try (due to obligations.)

The only strange thing that happened is we planned on starting at the end of April after I was in a wedding and I then decided to hold off until June because I wanted May to enjoy summer. I have no regrets, I always wanted a spring baby, and #2 is coming in March. So the timing worked in our favor.

Yup. I feel this way most of the time about having a #2. LO is 10.5 months and if we did try for a second it would probably be some time next year. I'm about 90% sure I'm done (and honestly that 10% is very much because it's just "what you do") so really I'm 100% sure something isn't missing with just 1 LO. DH always wanted 2 however he's been leaning more towards 1 and done since LO was born.
Right now we are just enjoying LO and waiting until next year to revisit the topic.

@Cherrybee: I know! I am trying to do this too. I am mentally making a "Things to Accomplish before Baby #2" list to try to focus on the now and nearer future and enjoying it!
