hi mamas,

anyone have the newer babyzen yoyo+ stroller? and additionally has anyone used the ride on board attachement just released?

i ran across it and now i'm sort of obsessed with getting it for baby #2! we had the mb nano for our first child and didnt really like the 2-hand fold.... but i really miss having a very compact lightweight 1 hand push stroller.... the babyzen yoyo+ is one hand push, one hand fold  ! also allows for the ride on board... which i think would be useful for my toddler? also trying to figure out if the umbrella on the yoyo+ is deep enough, that was another thing about the nano i didnt really like... (but overall the mb nano was a very smooth, convenient stroller and we still use it  )

ugh i need to stop obsessing over strollers....

We have the Gluxe and nothing to compare it to from experience, but FWIW, I've taken in on multiple trips (incl. international) now and it's been a great travel stroller! Initially DD and I didn't really like the umbrella stroller (vs. our full stroller), but it's my regular go-to now after 2 y/o. She loves to climb in & out, the recline feature has been used enough times with rare stroller naps - that alone made it worth the extra money IMO! It's pretty sturdy and lightweight. The other popular ones I see in our area are the MacLarens.

IMO the G-Luxe is worth it (even my DH admitted it was worth it and he was initially SO against getting one because of the price). We were able to get one on sale at the end of the year when they were trying to make room for the new models. So you might have good luck finding one on sale in a few months!

Maclaren Techno XT. We had it from birth for DS and he's now 4.5. We still use it as our travel stroller. It has been to three continents on tons of trips and is still holding up really well.

@Mrs.KMM: We vastly preferred the B-agile even though it was a lot bigger. The steering is such so much better. The cheap one wouldn't steer where I wanted it go and the wheels would get stuck.

@Smurfette: Honestly, I've never even tried to find one! Any you'd recommend? I don't need to buy the stroller now (DD is just 10 weeks and we do have a B-agile) but I figured I'd start researching options for when we do want something a little smaller.

@Mrs.KMM: are you a member of any local FB resale groups. We are both in Atl, and I am a member of one near me and see Mcclarens and others all the time. Never see GLuxe.

We have the Maclaren Mark II. We chose it because it is extremely lightweight (only 7 lbs) and we find it much easier to fold than the gluxe/glite. Our full size stroller is a city mini GT, which isn't really that heavy to begin with, so we needed one that was crazy lightweight to justify having two. It is perfect for travel, and bonus is that LO really likes it (she actually sometimes asks to ride in "little stroller" instead of her normal one). Cons: Not cheap, the sun canopy is very high up so doesn't shade well (but LO can see well, so she likes it), the buckle can take practice, and it doesn't stand up while folded.

If you don't need a lot of features, the $20 Babies R Us version is fairly well made and does the trick for us when we're traveling or not in the the mood to lug around our full stroller.

I did a ton of research and ended up with the joint groove ultralight. It had a lot of similar features as the g-luxe but is quite a bit cheaper. I was able to get it on sale from babies r us.

I have the mountain buggy nano and am overall very happy with it. It is very light, folds up easily (2 hands though) and pushes well for a lightweight stroller. The fact that it has a badly bar instead of two handles makes it easier to push one handed in a store. It takes up no space in our trunk, which is really nice.

I have had a couple minor complaints- we had the spring issue people complained about, but they sent the replacement piece quickly (basically the front wheel locks so you can swivel it, but it's an easy enough fix). And the sunshade isn't as big as the gluxe.

One nice bonus is you can use the buy buy baby coupons on it, which you can't on Uppababy. I managed to snag for the floor model for a steal which sealed the deal on the mb over the gluxe.

We got a G-Luxe because there was a huge clearance sale that made it pretty (relatively) affordable. I like it a lot but I never would have paid full price for it. If I was looking now, I'd probably go for one that folds up small enough to be a carry-on -- at this point, I think it would be useful but I wasn't thinking about that when I bought it. The Mountain Buggy Nano seems popular, and my friend has the QuickSmart backpack stroller that is really cool. I also love the colors of the Bumbleride Flyte, which is a tiny bit cheaper at full price than the G-Luxe. I'm really no help, haha!

@Mrs.KMM: Summer Infant is popular and has a great price at just $79. Mrs. Garland wrote a review a couple weeks ago. http://www.hellobee.com/2015/07/28/choosing-an-umbrella-stroller-summer-infant-3d-lite-review/ Here's another review of the same stroller http://www.momsstrollerreviews.com/summer-infant-3d-lite-convenience-stroller-review/

Tell me about the umbrella strollers you've used. What do you love? Anything you hated?

I know a ton of people around here love their G-luxe umbrella strollers but they are kind of pricey. I'm wondering if they are truly worth it or if there are some lesser expensive strollers that are awesome too.

I've also heard good things about the G-lite, the Mountain Buggy Nano and Maclarens (none of which are cheap but they are less than the G-luxe).

Basically - sell me on your favorite umbrella stroller!
