@Mrs. Lion: Thank you! @yoursilverlining: yeah, that is true. I'm hoping it's going to help him and going to plug it back in when I go to bed. I just get the first time mom concerns that everything is going to harm him :P

@Tanjowen: I know Vicks Baby Rub is safe for 3 months + and that you actually put on the skin. So the plug-in seems pretty harmless.

It's safe; I don't think a company could sell a product that was so unsafe that a small device plugged into a room would harm a 10 month old.

We used that product with some success.

@Tanjowen: I just did some googling and I think the harmful ingredient is the menthol. So yours is probably fine :)

@Mrs. Lion: I read that same information, which is why I wasn't sure about using this thing! I certainly don't want to make him worse.

@lawbee11: It is the pediatric one with the mom&baby on the box. I started to use it because I assumed the same as you, but just thought it really odd there is no information anywhere on appropriate ages to use...then again, I guess that could mean it's fine for any age!

So it's the pediatric one? We used that one even younger than that...probably around 6 or 7 months. It was the thing that helped most (other than the nose frida). I love that thing! I mean there's a pic of a mom and baby on the box so I assume it's fine.

ETA: We left it plugged in overnight.

I done know about that specific product but I was warned not to use vicks on babies. Something about the ingredient that helps adults actually aggrivated the nasal passages in babies and makes congestion worse. we had a lot of success with a humidifier, and that's what our pediatrician recommended.

My 10 month old is very congested right now and I was gifted a baby Vick's Vapor plug-in with the rosemary/lavender pads. I plugged it into his room for about 20 minutes and then removed it because I cannot find anywhere on the box or instructions what age it is safe for. I'd love to plug it in for the entire night if it is safe and will help him.

I'm assuming it's just fine, but want to double check. Anyone use these for their baby and know?
