@marym: do you also take an iron supplement with your gummies? I had been using the gummies and I LOVED them (hard to eat just two a day, they are so tasy!), but then when I realized there was no iron I switched to giant pills :(

@MaryM: I've been taking smartypants, but don't really like them. It has nothing to do with how I feel, but I don't like the taste. Not enough that I won't finish the bottle, but I won't buy them again.

I take these.. They are a whole little packet of 5 or 6 pills.. The EPA-DHA is in perfect ratio, or something like that. My acupuncturist started me on them. The b vitamins are methylated, (aka folate, instead of folic acid) so they are good for those with mthfr mutation (me).

All I can say is this - my hair was thin and falling out a few months back, and since I started these my hair has never been thicker.. same for my nails, they were always thin and now they are crazy strong! With my son I took citranatal and I didn't notice much difference with my nails & hair..

Since I have kind of baby fine hair, I will spend the money on these - probably forever!!

I unfortunately haven't tried that brand. Hopefully someone has here who can chime in.

I wanted one with folate - most of those were pretty pricey, unfortunately. I ended up trying Best Nest Prenatal. No serious complaints, though it does sometimes upset my stomach a bit, so I might switch once I finish the bottle.

I'd just switch the multivitamin to a prenatal. But if you want to use up the multivitamins you have, you could just take an additional folic acid suppliment until you run out of the multivitamins. Also, my husband is a pharmacist and he recommended that I just use generic prenatals because he doesn't think that there's any real difference.

a prenatal vitamin is a multi vitamin with usually extra folic acid and other things relevant to pregnancy and breastfeeding.. you don't need to take both. Or you could keep your regular routine and add folic acid. Or you could see what your obgyn recommends!

We are TTC and I've read its a good idea to start prenatal while TTC.
Should I just add a good prenatal or should I be substituting it for the multivitamin? OR should I just add folic acid?
Feel confused!

With our first time around I tried a prenatal, b vitamin, dha, vitamin d, a fertility supplement called fertilecm, and preseed. Honestly I don't know that any of the extra had an effect. I ended up needing an iui.

I've only taken prenatal, and vitamins b complex from your list. I know a lot of women take vitamin D, I've taken guaiffenesin a few cycles, and I drink green tea prior to O. Otherwise I think it just depends on what you want to try. The b complex made me really nauseated so it was better before bed. Good luck I hope your cocktail works.

I'm contemplating getting some progesterone cream, and some pre-seed. Can you tell i'm antsy to get this show on the road...haha

Have any of you taken these (or any other) specific supplements to help along tic? I figured this would be a good place to gather various ideas and success stories for people to reference if their looking to try some of these.

Personally I take those but I'd say it depends on how confident you are in choosing your own supplement regimen. It is a good idea to talk to your doctor to make sure you're not getting too much of anything. Also, when nausea starts to hit you might decide even one pill is too much!
