@Mrsjets: I was a bit defensive there!! :-) I saw a friend of mine get lectured on FB because she posted a pic of her little one in a sit-in walker. We had a jumperoo though :-) so I guess it's the same thing.

We have the Vtech one and the FP stroller walker. She preferred the Vtech when she was younger, but now (17 months) she prefers the FP one because she loves pushing her stuffed animals and baby doll around in it. The FP one was a gift and I was initially annoyed at having 2 but she's gotten a lot of use out of both of them!

@Leah: I knew what you meant. It's just that some push toys like the ones we have are not as steady as the vtech or wooden ones you mentioned. Also, I did use a traditional walker. It was used more as a baby holder because my son didn't really ever "walk" in it. He stayed in one place!

We didn't have any walkers but have about 4-5 push toys that we keep outside and inside (train, lawn mower with bubbles), grocery cart, etc). DS loves those things and has been playing with all of them since he could walk. He's 2 now. He doesn't get tired of them!

We have an annoying v-tech walker that was a gift. LO loved it ... sigh. I planned to get a wooden one before we received the gift, but I'm wondering if it makes sense to have a second.

@cranberryapple: I can say with 100% certainty keep the VTECH one. My LO was gifted the FP one by my MIL and I'm not a huge fan. We recently were visiting my cousin and they have the VTECH one and it is SO MUCH BETTER. The VTECH one has breaks on the wheels which is amazeballs when they are learning to pull up but can't actually push/walk yet. My LO has done many a faceplant trying to pull up on the FP and then having it roll out from under her.

So we were gifted a Fisher Price walker (http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Brilliant-Basics-Musical-Activity/dp/B00428LIZC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1373999038&sr=8-3&keywords=fisher+price+walker) at Christmas time. It's okay, but then Grandma gifted DS this Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker (http://www.amazon.com/VTech-80-077000-Sit-to-Stand-Learning-Walker/dp/B000NZQ010/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373998950&sr=8-1&keywords=baby+walker) for his birthday, which is much better rated and it looks much "funner" than the Fisher Price walker.

Since we have already used the Fisher Price one, I don't know whether we should return the Vtech one, or keep it as well. What do you think? DS already knows how to walk now, so it's less a tool for learning to walk and more for pushing for fun, and playing with the noise-making portion. I don't think we would have gotten a walker for ourselves if they weren't gifted. Which should I keep?

@sorrycharlie: Don't feel guilty and don't let anyone make you feel guilty! We used this walker with our chubby legged LO at 5-6 months, she started walking at 10 months and has no issues.
I also used a walker with my 11 yo son, no problems either. I think the problem begins when babies are left in their walkers for hours on end. We also used a jumperoo ;)

We have the Chicco Dance Walker. LO is about 28ish inches (probably, I'm not sure) and around 20 pounds and fits just fine. We don't leave her in there for too long at a time and once she can use the push behind walker we'll probably switch her to that (I got nervous reading about the leg muscles too after we got one for Christmas).
