@cmomma17: @MUI831: Thank you. I was hoping not to have to go to a laundromat, but it might be the wiser choice. I'll just have to go looking for one - maybe in some apartment building? lol

If it's too big for your washing machine/dryer, you may need to go to a commercial laundromat and wash it there. As with pillows, I would throw a few tennis balls in the dryer to keep it fluffed up.

Has anyone ever washed their Snoogle/body pillow/Boppy? I'm trying to put things away in storage and want to wash some things before packing them away. I'm not too worried about the Boppy - I think I washed it once (I used a waterproof cover in between as well). But I'm worried about the Snoogle. If it will be hard on the machines and if the stuffing will get funky? But it's been in a bin in the garage and I'm not liking that method.

At that age...not really. I'll wipe down toys afterward if one of the kids seemed sick, or if a specific toy spent a lot of time in someone's mouth. I was much more obsessive about toy cleaning when LO was younger though. I used to put away soft toys that would be hard to clean (like her Lamaze toys) so they didn't get chewed.

I want to have a playdate at my place, and while I'm okay with other LOs germs, I'm wondering whether I should clean DS's toys as a courtesy. Do you think that's necessary? What do you do about this? Or does it depend on age? Our LOs are 13 months old-ish, so they still put everything into their mouths!

@autumnlove: I run something pretty similar on my Samsung FL.

I do a heavy load setting (so there is lots of water). I do a pre-rinse, extra wash, and extra rinse. Its nice because I don't have to go back and restart it after each step. It does take about 2 hours for it to run through everything though.

@autumnlove: and @c.sassy: I have a GE Profile front load washer. I've found that the following wash routine works for me: First I run a "rinse & spin" cycle on cold, but set the spin speed to "no spin." This gets all of the diapers saturated and heavy so that the machine thinks the load is larger than it actually is when I run the next step. Next, I add 2 Tbsp of Rockin Green Hard Rock and run a "whites/heavy duty" cycle on hot with a pre-wash and an extra rinse. Since I added the rinse with no spin at the beginning of the wash and switched to a hard water detergent, I haven't had any build up, stink, or ammonia problems (knock on wood).
