It (I won't lie) freaked me out a little, because he sounded really bad. Like he lost his voice and was straining to vocalize. But it went away within a few days. We just had to let it ride out. The doctor said there wasn't anything to do. I did nurse more so it would coat her throat. Occasionally, he will cough, a sharp staccato sound. We saw a lactation consultsnt who is also a PNP yesterday, and she wasn't concerned about his upper respiratory "junkiness". </p> <p>But today, he seems hoarse and as a result, his cry seems weaker. I would take him straight to the ER if he wasn't eating as well or if he seemed lethargic. But the weak, hoarse cry is unsettling. Anyone have a LO with this before? </p>
