I haven't but I think you can google tons of free work outs, nutrition, and exercise plans to get you started! I read a really great book called Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle. Cost me $12 I think. It outlined exercise, lifting, myths, nutrition, macros....

I recently learned about Tone It Up (ToneItUp.com) and was super inspired by the billions of testimonials and strong sense of community, plus a few of my pals on social media are into it and I have a serious fear of missing out.

(OK, and the two gals who started TIU are smart and gorgeous and I want to look half as good as they do in a swimsuit.)

I joined the free part of the site, but apparently the "official" membership is $150 - there is no renewal fee, you get a 200-something page nutrition/exercise plan, and also can post on the members'-only boards. Seems kind of pricey when I already have access to some recipes & workouts, right?

Wondering if anyone here has tried this OR thought about joining. Is the $150 membership fee worth it? I'm ready to get healthy and love my body, just not sure this is the best option out there.

THANK YOU in advance!

Lol, that thread was interesting but when I read your OP, I thought it was a good idea! I'm 30 weeks along now. I still try to walk a mile 3 days a week but it's starting to get harder since baby sits so low--I feel constant pressure!

@HeatherlovesKenny: haha yeah:) it wasn't a push present cause I decided after that thread that I didn't want to tell my husband to get me something, I left it up to him. And I blonde I'd need new shoes regardless.
How far along are you? I remember getting to the point where I was too scared to take walks on my own for fear of not making it back home!

Woohoo! I remember you posting about wanting running shoe's as a push present on the WB :) I cannot wait to get back in shape even though I'm still pregnant. I miss going for long run's to destress or even long walks have been hard lately.

@miss-spunkin: My sisters and I are going to run a color run in June. I think they are all trying to come up with events to do in the summer months as we get closer and closer to my due date. I looked it up and am super excited about it.

@artbee: I don't always enjoy it either, but I REALLY want to be at a healthier weight. I actually have never enjoyed running but I'm hoping to change that.
My favorite workouts are the classes at the Y like zumba, body step and yoga.
@lilteacherbee: Oh good for you! I signed up for The Color Run in July in order to motivate me to run!
: @chopsuey119: Oh that is great! I hope to get to that level where I can run 3-5 miles 3x a week.

Awesome! I went and walked today at the gym. I didn't gain a lot of weight, but I did gain about 5-10 lbs. Now I'm ready to get back to pre-pregnancy weight or a little less. By then, we should be able to start trying again.

@miss-spunkin: I can't wait to lose the rest of my weight! I'm still holding on to about 10 lbs. All my clothes fit, but my body's changed!
DH got me a Bob, so I really should start running again! I used to run 3-5miles 5x a week before I got pregnant.

My doctor said I could keep up my workouts when I was pregnant and that my body would tell me if and when I should slow down (she said they used to say to keep heartrate around 140, but they now just say listen to your body).

Pre-pregnancy and while TTC, I worked out 5 days a week including running and weights. I am only 5 weeks pregnant, but plan to work out for as long as I feel like I can! So far, I have worked out 3-4 times a week and have run and used the elliptical at the gym. I have noticed I am much more winded so have been going a little slower but it feels good to be working out.

When I got prego I walked to/from work (minus an inbetween trolley ride) everyday until the end of my pregnancy that is about the most I worked out. It didn't seem like much but it really helped me keep my weight down and recovery. I have already started walking again to prep for ttc for #2!

Keep up with your routine, but don't get into a new one that's more intense. I was very active prior to pregnancy, so I was in the gym 3-4 times a week doing spin classes, yoga, elliptical, etc until 34 weeks when they pulled me bc of issues. My dr just told me t o keep my heart rate under 160- but he based that on my level of activity and resting HR from prior to pregnancy. A Lot of drs say 140-150

@Bluestriped Bee--That's what I'm worried about. I know I need to workout and lose some more weight, but I want to at least do something because I am overweight so I want to avoid some issues that might come of it.

I figure if I have some sort of routine going, then maybe I'll go. :)

I think I read somewhere that you should keep your exercise routine the same as you did before you got pregnant. Well, if you are very active, that you should lower it.

This reminds me that I need to start going back to the gym. I used to go the gym. I stopped a couple months ago but I need to go back because I want to be on some type of exercise routine when we start TTC. Although, I'm pretty sure I might not want to workout while I'm pregnant because I've heard that being pregnant makes you tired.

I'm curious, too, about what the current mommies say.

i worked out three times a week until i was 8 months pregnant with charlie. this time around i didn't work out at all, but chasing charlie was workout enough!

you can definitely continue working out regularly once you're pregnant. i just lowered the intensity (i used to love kickboxing), didn't do crunches/stomach exercises, and didn't run as much.

We are not pregnant, but in hopes of helping us TTC, we are both working out and have started a much healthier lifestyle. How realistic is that I can keep working out regularly once we get a BFP?
