I was looking forward to walking and more words but happened closer to 14 months and after for the more words. They are so much fun at this age. She doesn't walk yet, but has been cruising for a while. I gave her a straw cup (she's obsessed with mine) instead of a bottle at 11 months, and she never looked back. She's so interactive now, and loves to make us laugh. I have a 14 mo old. Getting rid of formula (I BF'd till 9 months) was definitely THE best! She walked around 11-11.5 months, but it was fun watching her become a confident walker and now runner, lol. Also my DD def had a big language explosion... There are some milestones that I'm definitely looking forward to happening around the 1 year mark. </p> <p>I'll be so happy to get rid of formula and I'm hoping to drop bottles at the same time (he's not super attached to them). He's getting close to cruising now so I think he may walk by his birthday. He doesn't really talk yet so I'm looking forward to hearing his first meaningful word.</p> <p>What milestones happened for your LO at 1 year? What was unexpected or surprising about that age? </p>
