My daughter turned one a couple weeks ago and many people asked in advance for gift suggestions. It took me awhile to come up with a list, but I'm sure glad I did. The majority of my in-laws (who didn't ask) gave her clothes. She now has 25 new outfits! Very sweet of everyone, but I have no clue how she will ever wear them all on top of the other clothes they bought her for Christmas! I don't have anything to compare them to, but they've held up fine. She has a range of difficulties, but loves them all. Even the harder ones (like the clock shape sorter puzzle) get played with in some way. She's played with her doll and stroller since she was about 14 months. Her favorite doll is a really nice Madame Alexander one, and the stroller is a $10 BRU special. Those things go with us to the grocery store, to the park, to friends houses... Everywhere. "Take Baby? Take stroller?"</p> <p>I think the first birthday is a good time to get gifts that she'll use for years to come. Right now she's still in the baby play phase which means things have value if they can go in her mouth :).
