We went through it. All I know is that solids helped, and it got better with age.

I have a 9.5 month old and it seems like this happens to us around milestones too- crawling was a BAD one. It felt like a frustration issue to me. He was frustrated that he couldn't do what he was trying to do and the only thing he wanted was to nurse. He's starting to walk now and is clingy and wanting to nurse a lot again. Giving a sippy cup with warm water (while holding him) seems to help get us through until actual nursing time. Good luck =)

We went through phases like that. Usually it's when she was learning a new skill or independence and needed confirmation mom (and milk) was still there.

For the past week or so my 10 month old has been wanting to nurse every 45 minutes or so when we're together. It's like she's a newborn again.

She's eating a good amount of solids and doesn't finish her bottles at day care. It seems to be more comfort nursing than eating but she freaks out if I don't immediately offer the breast. There's no distracting her. She started sleeping through the night this week and has been extra clingy.

Anybody else go through this? How long did it last?
